In contrast to the disastrous end of King Ahaziah, Chapter 2 describes the glorious ascension scene of Elijah. Elisha was not like that. His request was, “I ask for double your inspiration.” A prophet is a corpse without inspiration. Just as an incompetent professor is not a professor, a healer is a doctor. A prophet without inspiration is not a prophet. He sought double inspiration because it was Elisha who knew this.
What matters is the result. From that day on, he became a servant of God, full of inspiration and spiritual power. After receiving double inspiration, let's look at Elisha's life.
1. It was full of power and miracles.
