Title: Dreams and Life / Proverbs 29:18-20
When you read a book called Autobiography of tenor Hwajin Choi, a professor at Nayak University in New York, you realize once again how important dreams and visions are to people.
Professor Choi had to graduate from high school and enter the front line of life due to difficult family circumstances. However, he could not give up his passion for music and his dream of studying. In 1982, he and his full-term wife went to the United States to study in the US with only 40 dollars.
Professor Choi had to endure many hardships while going through the bottom of his life until he entered the Juilliard School of Music as a senior and was trained as a junior at the university.
His testimony, who is now a world-renowned musician and actively performing, reaffirms that dreams lead people's lives.
A person's thoughts dominate and change that person's life.
Depending on what kind of dream that person has, the person's destiny and life will change.
But a person without a dream is already mentally dead. A person who has lost tomorrow. There is no development, there is no happiness, and they lead a depraved life and then perish.
Therefore, in this sense, humans can be said to be living beings that feed on dreams.
This means that you will live with your future goals and dreams until the day you die. It means that if one dream has been achieved, you will not stay there and lead a stagnant life. Just because something has been accomplished, if he stays in it, stagnates, and leads a stagnant life, he is spiritually dead from there.
Above all, if we do not look to the future with dreams and visions, we cannot receive the blessings of God who creates things from nothing and calls things that do not exist as though they were (Philippians 2:13).
Have an eternal dream material.
So what kind of dreams should we have? Where should we base our dreams?
Not everyone who has a dream is blessed by God. If the dream is simply from the lusts of the flesh, the pride of life, and greed, you cannot receive God's blessing.
Even if you have a dream, you must have the right dream within the will of God.
A dream you have in God's will, a goal you set by faith in God's will have eternal value, and God will bless you and bring you eternal rewards and happiness.
First, we must have dreams for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31-33).
Our goal in life should be to reveal the glory of God. We must clearly discern whether our goals and dreams represent the glory of God, or whether we are trying to satisfy our greed and do what the devil likes.
And you must have a dream to benefit many people.
harming others, hurting others, causing suffering and suffering to others,
It is not God's will that only I will be well. It is the will of God to benefit others and make them successful (1 Corinthians 10:33). When you make others successful, you succeed too.
You must have a dream to save many souls.
What is the most rewarding thing in this world? What is the most valuable thing?
As Paul said, "Seek the good of many, that they may be saved", the most rewarding and worthwhile life in this world is to save even one soul.
God is more pleased to find the one lost sheep than the 99 sheep in the pen. Therefore, we must be able to do anything, let alone use material things to save a soul. To save even one more soul for the glory of God and the benefit of many people should be the subject of our eternal dream.
Have the attitude to make your dreams come true.
How do I make my dream come true? The whole body and mind must work together.
First, you have to draw the reality with your head.
Clearly picture the reality of your dream. Just as blueprints and blueprints represent a model before building a building, a clear blueprint and reality of a dream must be drawn in your mind (Hebrews 11:1).
Although impossible by human calculation, the dream of faith made possible the impossible dream of Abraham. Just as a child is conceived and given birth in due time, when the dream is conceived, the time will come when it will become reality. So paint a clear picture in your creative, positive, productive mind.
Confess and proclaim with your mouth.
There is great creative power in human words (Romans 10:10).
The tongue is like the height of a ship, and it determines the direction of his entire life.
During a Sunday Mass at a church in a secluded countryside, a boy who was helping a priest made a mistake and dropped a bowl of wine to be used for the sacrament on the altar. The bride immediately slapped the boy on the cheek and shouted. "Go back and never come before the altar again!" The boy grew up to become the leader of communism, Tito, the president of Yugoslavia.
A boy who was helping Mass at a cathedral in another large city also dropped a bowl of sacramental wine. The bride soon looked at him with eyes of understanding and sympathetic love, and whispered quietly, "You will be a great bride in the future."
In this way, a person's words have the power to change a person's destiny.
Therefore, admit your dream and proclaim it. Of course, dreams do not come true when you rely only on your own strength. But if you believe in Jesus Christ and confess and proclaim with your mouth, it will be fulfilled.
And look constantly with your eyes.
There is great power in seeing.
When Satan tempted Eve, Satan only made Eve look at the forbidden fruit. As Eve paid attention to the fruit of knowledge that she had overlooked, she drew a picture of the fruit of knowledge that she had envisioned in her heart. In the end, she was unable to overcome temptation.
When Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed, Lot's wife became a pillar of salt because she disobeyed God's will and looked at the city that was destroyed.
However, when Abraham looked east, west, north, and south according to God's word, he became a man of hope and a man of faith.
Therefore, let's look at the dream with the eyes of the flesh and the eyes of the heart. Let's look through the eyes of knowledge and the eyes of wisdom.
Finally, let the wish continue to burn in your heart.
Just as the fire in the furnace of a blacksmith melts a solid lump of iron to make a tool, our dreams and goals will come true when our prayers are hot, our words are hot, and our lives are burned.
God conceives dreams in people's hearts, and uses people whose dreams are on fire. If you have a dream in your heart, you can take a strong step towards tomorrow.
A person without a dream is a person who has the name of living, but lives according to the wind, the waves, and his will.
God created man to have dreams.
I want young people to have dreams of being young, and I want old people to have dreams of being old people. May the sick dream of health, the unsuccessful dream of success, the poor dream of wealth, and the unhappy dream of happiness.
The life of a saint is to live with dreams. Let's have the dream that God gives to each of us, and let's depend absolutely on God. And let's ask God for help.
If we pray without ceasing to achieve our dreams, and if we keep working hard, we will surely become the victors in achieving our dreams.
