Title: Dry Bones, Live
Contents
Dry bones come alive (Ezekiel 37:1-14)
And he said to me, Prophesy to all these bones, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, ye dry bones; thus says the Sovereign LORD to these bones: I will bring breath into you, and you will live (Ezekiel 37:4-5).
When expressing the impossible, it is said, “I am dead and I can’t even wake up.” It is impossible for the dead to come back to life. God asked this obvious question to the prophet Ezekiel. Ezekiel was guided in a vision into a valley full of the bones of the dead. The bones were so old that all the material in the bones had run out and they were crispy. God asked the prophet Ezekiel, who looked at the bones. Can these bones come to life again? Ezekiel is known by God. These bones cannot survive. and answered.
But God spoke to Ezekiel. Command the bones, "Dry bones, live!" Ezekiel delivered the word of God to the bones. Then the bones scattered in the rain gathered together and changed into a human form. Muscles were built on it, flesh was put on it, and skin was formed on it. Then I preached the word of God again. “Come into the midst of them, living creature.” Then the dead rose and moved, a great army. Perhaps the dead bones were soldiers who were slaughtered in battle in the valley.
After giving this vision, God spoke to Ezekiel. It has been a long time since the Israelites were taken captive to Babylon, and it is said that we have no hope. It is said that our dreams are dead. However, he said that if God is with him, hope will be created in the hopeless, just as the dead are raised to life. There are times when we don't even see hope today. I have no hope because of my own incompetence. There is nothing you can do. There is no hope in sight because of the environment in which it is impossible to even breathe. No matter how hard you try, you can lose hope because of the people around you who don't change. But even if this is difficult, it is easier than raising the dead. God has the power to raise the dead.
When the Spirit of God comes upon us, we have hope no matter what circumstances we are in and what difficulties we are in. Does God not help us out of trouble from the beginning, but give us difficulties and give us victory? It is to give you faith through the process. You can experience the living God when you experience impossible things with God's help. You must experience the impossible before you can believe in the resurrection. In order to experience God and believe in the resurrection, God gives us difficult tasks that cannot be solved today and allows us to overcome them through faith.
