Text: Psalm 31:1-2
Title: God, the rock of my refuge
In You, O LORD, I take refuge; do not let me be put to shame forever; in Your impartiality deliver me; incline to me and deliver me quickly; become to me a rock of solidarity and a guarantee of salvation (Psalm 31:1-2).
If you look at the Chinese character 人 (person), the two strokes depend on each other. Without one, the other must fall. Humans are dependent beings who can stand upright only when they help each other and get help. Strictly speaking, there is not a single person on the planet who lives alone without anyone's help. When you are young, you need the help of your mother, when you are older, you need the help of your teacher, then you need the help of friends, relatives, and seniors. Not only that, when you are ill, you need to seek help from a doctor, and in order to lead a life of food, clothing, shelter, and culture, you get help from all kinds of manufacturers, manufacturers, and vendors.
What can we rely on to overcome the difficulties we face in life? How can you overcome when you are in a desperate situation where you can't expect any help? No matter how you look at it, everything we can achieve in the world has its limits. Only God knows our circumstances and is a refuge from which we can escape anytime, anywhere. Because He has an eternal, not a finite world. Today, I pray that the spiritual members will know God who is my refuge and enjoy true peace through Him.
Know that only God is our refuge, and let only God take refuge in my life, in Jesus' name. Amen
