Title: Elisha's Miracle Performance (2 Kings 04:1-44)

These are the records of Elisha's miracles that continue. In particular, some special miracles are introduced in this chapter. The historical facts are precious, but the spiritual lessons are even more valuable.

1. Miracle about the poor widow 1-7 It was said that she was one of the wives of the students of the Prophet, and she lamentedly appealed to Elisha about the plight of her debt. Perhaps the prophet who passed away was a prophet who was an alumni of Elisha.

During the woman's appeal, it was said that if the debt was not paid, all would become slaves (Lev 25:39). He performed a miracle by vaporizing that there was a bottle of oil in the woman's house. He borrowed many empty vessels, closed the door, and poured oil into the vessels until the vessel ran out. This is a miracle from the woman's faith and obedience, and the lesson to be learned is compassion for the poor widow and a miracle for the glory of God. They sold a lot of oil to pay off their debts and to lead a stable life.

We can see the hand of God's blessing that does not leave the bereaved family of God's prophets to lead a suffering life.

2. The miracle about the Shunammite woman 8-37 (1) The miracle of giving birth to a son 8-17 The place called Shunem is on the way between Mount Carmel and Gilgal (1 Kings 1:3). Therefore, Elisha, who often visited there, was enlightened by a precious woman living in Shunem, and she knew that she was a man of God, and prepared a special living room for him.

Elisha promised that he would have a son as a reward for thanksgiving, and it was fulfilled.

(2) Miracle of the Resurrection of a Dead Son 18-37 The son, who was obtained by a miracle of blessing through the hosadama case, suddenly shouted, “My head, my head!” Then he sat down on his mother’s lap and died.

It is his great faith that this Shunammite woman, believing that Elisha would raise the dead child, lay down on his bed and rushed to get Elisha.

Also, it was out of faith that I met Elisha and answered that he was at peace. It is an attitude of trust and seeking.

At first, Elisha sent Gehazi his servant, but Elisha was moved by earnest supplication that he would not leave Elisha, and immediately followed him and went to Shunem to raise the dead child. A person's prayer was answered and the dead child was raised to life.

3. Miracle of abundance 38-44 (1) Miracle of helping the hungry 38-41 A famine began in Gilgal, and the disciples of the prophets were collectively starving. When he was screaming because of this, Elisha took the powder and detoxified it in a pot to eat.

(2) Miracle of Ensuring Few Plants 41-44 Baal Salisa is located 28km northwest of Gilgal, and Elisha's miracle is when a member of the anonymous seed brought little food (20 barley loaves, a few vegetables, one person's daily food). and gave it to 100 people to eat.

Conclusion: Elisha, Elijah's successor with double inspiration, is a man of miracles. Through him, the successive production of miracles will be seen as an actual teaching that God is alive.
