endure the test
about 1:12-18
The Bible teaches that the trials that come to Christians are very important. Although the amount and degree of pain varies from person to person, the weight of pain felt is the same. No one likes exams. However, Christians must pass the gates of testing, and those who fail this are prone to the dangerous consequences of failing their entire lives. Living life is a series of tests every moment. If you don't pass that test, you can see yourself at a disadvantage. No matter how well you usually do, if you do not pass an important test, you will not reach your desired goal. Yes, even with farming. After farming, the result can be known through the fruit. There are many trials and difficulties while farming, but good results can be obtained when properly managed and recognized as a good product at the right time. That is why, if you back down because the test comes and difficulties will come, you will end up incurring a lot of damage to yourself. Therefore, when we are tempted, we must not lose the original attitude of the saints.
That is why today's text says, "Blessed are those who endure temptation."
James says that those who endure temptation are blessed. The reason is that after being approved by God, the Lord will give the promised crown of life to those who love him. This could be compared to some sort of entrance exam or skill test. No matter how old you are in your faith or who you have served in important positions in the Church, if you do not pass this test, you will lose His reward. You have to be patient with any test. God does not allow temptations beyond what we can bear, but He opens the way for us to escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). God does not tempt us to forsake or remove us. Rather, we must realize and discover that after we have been refined through the test, we are trained and tested in order to use it more preciously.
Job, who realized this kind of God early, sees himself discovering his weakness in the midst of many difficulties and trials rather than blaming God. So he confesses to God this way.
(Job 23:10) “But he knows the way I go; and after he has tried me I will come forth as gold.”
Also, after finishing the trial, Job repents and confesses:
(Job 42:5) “I heard of you with my ears, but now my eyes see you.” Job saw God through the trials that came to him.
In the text, God promises to give the crown of life to those who endure temptation. In other words, God is saying that He will surely reward those who endure and overcome trials. The crown of life referred to here is a crown made of the life that God bestows upon us, and is speaking of God's gift. The symbol of the crown symbolizes the king. In this way, God promises to give the saints the royal glory of the eternal world. You don't know what a glorious blessing this is. Dear saints, I pray in the name of the Lord that you will become blessed saints who continue to fight spiritually until they receive the ‘crown of life’ and receive the crown of life.
Paul exclaims: (1 Thessalonians 5:22) “Abandon every form of evil”
The apostle Peter exclaims: (1 Peter 2:11) “Beloved, I urge you, as strangers and passersby, to control the lusts of the flesh, which fight against the soul.”
Dear saints, I pray in the name of the Lord that you will become blessed saints who will enjoy eternal life by shaking off the temptations of greed and living a perfect life as a person of God.
James is telling us not to be deceived. When James said not to be deceived, he meant, “Do not let yourself be deceived and deviate from your faith.” That's why Teacher James said, 'Don't be deceived,' to tell the saints not to misunderstand that they came from God when they are tempted by Satan. The answer is found in verse 13. “Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted by God, for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself tempts no one.”
Therefore, when the saints are faced with temptation, they must look back on their mistakes and mistakes. Rather than blaming God, we should not be deceived ourselves by looking at ourselves before blaming our neighbors.
God never wants His saints to fall into temptation and distance themselves from Him.
Our God is unchanging and has no rotating shadow. The meaning of these words is that God does not possess imperfection or darkness, but He is the same in the past, present, and future, and cannot be destroyed. This God is our life and hope. Because God is eternal, He guides and protects His people with unchanging love.
That is why, when a believer faces various trials, he must become a saint who can look to God first rather than looking at people. Then God, who is merciful to us, will deliver us from temptation.
Dear saints, I pray in the name of the Lord that you will become saints who entrust their lives to God who wants to give us the best gift.
Teacher James says that the saints are new people born from God through the word of truth. That is why we who are saints must give glory to Him alone, trusting in Him and content with what He provides.
Because God called us and gave birth to us, God will never leave us. God will love and protect us.
God appears in a dream and promises Jacob, who is running away from his brother Esau.
(Genesis 28:15) “I am with you, I will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land, and I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”
In this way, God does not leave us as His people. Clearly, God has promised. He said he would take care of us and protect us. like an eyeball. Dear brothers and sisters, God always prepares and waits for us with good gifts.
All we have to do is climb the mountain of temptation. All you have to do is cross the mountain of trials and trials. When we cross that mountain, God's gift of blessing awaits us. In anticipation of this, I pray in the name of the Lord that you will become the blessed saints who are victorious through faith in the midst of trials, tribulations and trials in the Lord today.
