Title: Enduring Trust

▒▒▒ Exodus 20:8-11
If we think about it, we have received many favors from God. How can we express the grace we have received? One of them is keeping the Sabbath. Because clearly in the Bible, God commanded to “keep the Sabbath.” Therefore, to keep the Lord's Day is to keep the commandments and obey God's commands. The second is to express your trust in God. There are three reasons to keep Sunday. First, because God creates, operates, and supplies all things to us. The second is to remember that because He washed us with the blood of the cross and gave us the grace to become holy children of God. Finally, we remember Jesus, who rose from the dead.
“Acknowledge me in everything. Then I will guide your way.” These are the words of the book of Proverbs. Dear brothers and sisters, I hope you will have a lasting trusting relationship with God. For that, I ask you to risk your life and worship on Sunday.
I want our relationship with God to remain constant and to maintain a trusting relationship. But in fact, because we are human, we sometimes resent the heart of God and sometimes betray us. This often leads to damage to our relationship with God. There are two prominent reasons for this, one is that we prefer the visible to the invisible, and the other is that we seek momentary pleasures. Even looking at Adam and Eve, the reason they ate the forbidden fruit was because it looked delicious and desirable. As a result, they forsook God's command and ate the fruit in the middle of the garden. When Moses went up to Mount Sinai for 40 days and did not come down to pray, the Israelites at the bottom of the mountain said, “Where is the God who guided us?” They made calves of gold. We always fall because of what we see. The next step is to indulge in momentary joy. In this way, the people of Israel turned away from the invisible God, made visible idols, and fell into pleasure, and their trust in God is broken.
Abraham, who received the promise of God, began to doubt God because the promise was not visible. So he said that he wished he would have Eliezer the Damascusite as his son. The reason why the Israelites sinned in Joshua 7 is that the visible silver, gold, and coat of Mount Shinar were more important than the invisible command of God. Even though David was victorious through God's work, he ignored the invisible God and made the mistake of counting the number of soldiers as if an enormous army was his own.
This damaged relationship of trust is restored by worshiping God. Moses made a golden calf and offered a prayer of repentance to the Israelites and God who bowed down to their idols. “God, indeed, this people is a rebellious and stubborn people. But please forgive this people. If God does not forgive this people, please remove me from God's book of life.” After Achan sinned, Joshua covered himself with ashes and prayed to God for repentance. David's relationship with God was restored because David offered the sacrifice of repentance to God.
One more important thing is that no matter how the world views us, we are the sons and daughters of God that cannot be changed by giving to us. We are all holy children of God. Today, Peter is respected because of his relationship with the Lord. The time to meet with the Lord is a time to be holy and a time to be honored. Please believe that this time of worship is a blessed time for us to become honorable. When you become a noble person in your relationship with God, you can become a noble person in the world as well.
Last but not least, God provides abundantly for our needs during worship. He is the One who gives health to the weak and material things to those who do not have it.
Dear saints, I hope that you will come to trust in God and restore and heal your damaged relationship with God through worship. I bless you in the name of the Lord that you will be honored through this worship and receive abundant blessings from heaven.
