A. Introduction
1. The Ark event in Noah's day is the most perfect shadow event of eschatological judgment and salvation.
1) As in the days of Noah, they eat, drink, marry, and do not understand. (Matthew 24:37) *The most important word: “I do not understand.”
2) An important fact to realize: Judgment is coming.
2. The Most Important Thing in Our Life: Preparation for Salvation
3. God prepared an ark for salvation in the days of Noah.
B. Body
1. The ark is the revelation of salvation.
1) The idea and design of the ark were entirely God's idea and design.
2) Salvation is entirely God's plan before the foundation of the world. (Ephesians 1:4)
(1) Knowing that sin is inevitable by human free will,
(2) To experience salvation through Christ through sin,
(3) Looking forward to the future of the Lord’s people who will stand in the presence of God the Creator,
(4) He planned salvation only in Christ.
2. The ark is a safe place.
1) The function of bitumen is ‘waterproofing’, that is, the safety of ships.
2) The meaning of making compartments is to prepare an ample resting place.
3) At God's invitation, the door of the ark opens and closes.
4) When entering the ark, all living things are preserved and enjoy a new life in the new heaven and new earth.
5) Those who come into Christ gain salvation without losing a single one.
6) We have obtained a safe salvation.
7) The old man is dead, and the new life is hidden in Christ (Colossians 3:3).
8) “My soul is at peace”
3. The ark faces upwards
1) The window of the ark was not on the side, but directed upwards (verse 16).
(1) Don't look at the world next to you.-The world is next to you, frustration and disappointment.
(2) Let's look up only to God: "Let's seek the things above." (Colossians 3:3)
4. There is only one door of salvation through the ark
1) There is only one door of salvation leading to the ark
2) Only Jesus is the door of salvation (John 10:9): Jesus is the only name of salvation among all peoples under heaven (Acts 4:12)
3) There is only one way to escape the New Jersey wildfires, the Valley Road.
C. Conclusion
1. The most important question in the days of Noah was, “Are you in the ark? Are you outside the ark?”
2. The most important question in our day is “Are you in Jesus? Are you outside of Jesus?”
3. Let's enjoy the thrill of salvation.
