Title: Entering Jerusalem
Jesus' entry into Jerusalem has several meanings.
It is the beginning of the Passion of Christ.
When the Lord's Messiahship was revealed to the world, Jewish religious and political leaders tried to crucify Jesus to death.
Jesus went up to Jerusalem several times during his public life.
In the text, he went to keep the Passover, and this is
Jesus offered the eternal sacrifice of the Passover lamb.
It is the entry of promise and victory.
The Lord's entry into Jerusalem is very important in the history of redemption.
Jesus entered the capital city of Jerusalem as the King Messiah.
That's why it's specifically called the triumphal entry.
Jesus stops at Bethphage on the Mount of Olives.
Bethphage is located on the eastern side of the Mount of Olives.
The reason I chose the road of Bethphage on the Mount of Olives was to see the panoramic view of Jerusalem that I love at a glance.
Although it was a city that had abandoned God and fell, Jesus loved the city of Jerusalem, where the temple of God is located.
Jesus' love never changes.
There, Jesus tells you to bring a donkey.
This shows that Jesus is Lord and omnipotent.
When the disciples found the donkey and brought it to Jesus, there was no problem or dispute.
The obedience of the disciples also stands out.
People's Misunderstandings
They accepted Jesus as the earthly political Messiah.
They believed that Jesus would deliver them from Roman oppression.
It is evil for the Pharisees, scribes, and high priests to reject Jesus without believing in Him.
But it is also wrong that the crowds also believed and cheered the Lord as the earthly political Messiah.
He proclaimed that He would take up the cross and go down the road of death.
From this time on, Jesus' steps as the Messiah became faster and more prominent, while Satan's actions became more wicked and more pronounced.
It's going to be brutal.
You can see that this week is truly a great war in heaven.
How are we going to spend this week now?
However, as the promise was fulfilled, Jesus bore the burden of our sins, took up the cross, and declared that all things were accomplished by dying.
