What happens when a person dies?
Jesus taught us in several parables. And through Matthew 17, death is just a process like this. When we die, our lives do not end with death. It is a misconception that people disappear when they die. Since man is a spirit body made in the image and likeness of God and lives in the body, even if the tent house of this body is destroyed, our souls will live forever. And through the story of the rich man and Lazarus, he clearly taught us about the afterlife and the consequences of those who believe in the Lord and those who do not believe. Therefore, it is wrong to think that death is the end.
What kind of heaven did Jesus prepare for us? If we are going to move, we will try to get as much information as possible about the place, such as the weather and surrounding environment, if we are going to immigrate. Have you ever seen someone move or emigrate without any information? We need to know what kind of place heaven is, long for it, and prepare for it. Heaven is a place that cannot be compared with this world. In Revelation 21, we saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, and had the glory of God, and the light of that city was like a most precious gem, as clear as jasper and crystal. It is a holy and beautiful castle. This holy city is surrounded by the glory of God. The light is being compared to jasper.
What kind of body will you live with in heaven?
I live with a spiritual body. The worldly and physical body we have now is only a temporary structure. This body gradually decays and wears out. A body made of dust returns to dust. However, the spiritual body neither ages nor wears out. Heaven is not a place for soulless souls to wander. Paul speaks very clearly about this spiritual body in 1 Corinthians 15:40-57. You will have a heavenly form, not an earthly form. You will have an incorruptible body. You will live with a glorious and strong body. It is said that we will not be put on the image of the earthly, but will be put on the image of the heavenly.

Have you been persecuted, naked, afflicted, and disadvantaged for the sake of the gospel and Christ in this world? Then you will really enjoy a wonderful heaven with a great reward from Jesus in that country. “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven” (Matthew 5:11).
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always devoted to the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord” (1 Corinthians 15:58).
Anyone who believes in Jesus will go to heaven. But the rewards are different. I hope that you and I will receive glorious salvation by putting on the crown of life and linen clothes and preparing oil lamps.
