Title: Eternal Living Water (Isaiah 55:1)
Content When a person is malnourished, he cannot lead a normal life. Likewise, if you are spiritually malnourished, you will find yourself in a desperate situation. For three days from today, let's examine our faith life by examining the three essential nutrients we need spiritually as we live in the world.
It is written in the Bible, "You who thirst, come to the waters." Water is the source of our life. The human body is made up of 60% water. If a person does not drink water, he cannot live. However, man is not only made of flesh, but is composed of spirit, soul, and body. In other words, there is the inner man of the spirit and the outer man of the flesh. So just as the outer man of the flesh needs water, the inner man of the spirit also needs water.
Since the fall of Adam and Eve, people have thrown away their souls and have lived mainly in the flesh, so their souls struggle with thirst. However, until now, people have turned away from the thirst of the soul and wandered to find happiness in life and find purpose in life. But I could not find happiness and purpose in life.
A woman who had changed her husband five times and was living with her sixth husband met Jesus at the well. Jesus said to the woman, “If you drink the water I give you, you will never thirst.” Hearing this, the woman immediately believed in Jesus Christ as her Savior. Then the woman could drink the eternal, living water that overflows in Christ. The woman who drank the living water ran into the town and became an evangelist of Jesus Christ.
Rather than asking whether the Lord has sinned more or less, [I am a sinner. Help me], He tolerates sinners who say, and He saves such people.
Before we believed in Jesus, we did not know the purpose of life and the true value of life. However, if you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, you will come to know the purpose of life and the true value of life, and you will experience the great miracle of quenching your soul's thirst and finding peace in your heart.
Prayer: Lord of peace, since we have found peace, let us spread peace to our neighbors and society. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
