Evangelism of Love / Luke 10:25-37
Evangelism is a precious work that saves people's spirit and body. Therefore, we must evangelize with love for people and lead them to Jesus with love. The story of the good Samaritan that Jesus spoke of teaches us that love for God and love of neighbor are the secrets to eternal life. However, since the lawyer asked about love of neighbor, Jesus presupposed that he loved God, so Jesus said that love of neighbor is the way to eternal life. you said We must learn the evangelism that leads to eternal life by showing mercy through the text of the text.
1. The Bible's Teachings on Eternal Life
1) Those who want to know the way to eternal life
“Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
G. People who want to know what life is
N. Those who want to know about matters after death, that is, eternal life
c. Those who know the merits of eternal life
2) The way to eternal life is to love God
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind”
“Eternal life is to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent” (John 17:3).
3) The way to eternal life is to love people
"Love your neighbor as yourself"
“He who turns many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever and ever” (Daniel 12:3).
2. Jesus' Teachings on the Way to Eternal Life
1) Those who turn away from the path of eternal life
G. Those who go down into the world - who met the robber
N. People who harm others - robbers.
c. Those who turn away from the poor - priests and Levites.
2) A person who walks the path of eternal life
G. A man who has compassion on his enemies - A Samaritan who was despised by the Israelites and became his enemy, but he had compassion on the Israelite who was robbed.
N. A person who heals a man who was hit by a robber - The Samaritan healed and took care of his wounds, pouring oil and wine into them out of love and tying them up.
c. A person who takes the man who was robbed and asks for it to the tavern - The Samaritan asked to take care of him with his own money and even if it was not enough, he would pay him back.
3) Jesus tells us to have mercy
“Who will be a neighbor to the man who was struck by a robber?” He said, “The one who showed mercy.” Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.” He taught that those who show mercy to their neighbor, who presuppose the love of God and love their neighbor, have eternal life.
3. Evangelism of love
1) Let us have pity on sinners.
Mark 6:34 "When Jesus came out and saw a great crowd, he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he taught them many things."
Just as Jesus had compassion on the people of Israel, the sick, the demon-possessed, the lepers, the prostitutes, and the publicans who do not believe in God, so let us also have compassion on us and teach and preach the Word.
2) Let's love those who suffer.
Jesus said to go and do like the Samaritan who showed mercy to the man who was struck by a robber, so let us love all kinds of people who are suffering. We need to embrace all kinds of suffering people with love and spread the word so that they can come out of the place of suffering.
3) Let's evangelize so that those who suffer can receive eternal life.
Jesus laid down his life to save sinners and suffering people so that they might have eternal life. Therefore, we must also lead us so that we can gain eternal life by evangelizing with the grace and faith of eternal life that we have received even when we lay down our lives. That is, as I go on the path of eternal life, I have to lead my neighbors on the path of eternal life.
Conclusion) Who is the neighbor who showed love to the man who was robbed? Who will care for, bind up, and save those who are suffering as if we were met by a robber around us? We, who have been saved by love from Jesus, not others, must become neighbors to the robbers and care for, bind up, and save those who are suffering. “Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.” According to the words of Jesus, we must evangelize with love and lead them to the church and to Jesus. To do this, we must bear the evangelism of love, no matter how hard we face, no matter how much material is wasted, or even if our life is sacrificed. Even if we suffer in the world, we must evangelize those who have received the grace of eternal life so that they can receive the grace of eternal life from their neighbors.
This is to spread the grace of eternal life with love because I have been saved by believing in God, leading many people from the seat of sin and death and suffering, and evangelizing them to receive eternal life. In the name of the Lord, I pray that you will become saints who will receive eternal life through evangelism of love, and those who receive evangelism will also receive eternal life.
