Title: Even dry bones can come to life.
Even dry bones can come to life (Ezekiel 37:1-14).
God blesses and prospers when we love and serve God, but when we distance ourselves from God and serve idols, we groan and become angry. (Isaiah 1) When we go into the grave, God does not strike us all at once. You wait a long time, and you finally beat it. To indulge in idolatry means to become addicted to the practice repeatedly, not to fall into idolatry all at once. Forgetting God's love and falling into idolatry and corruption, Judah was eventually destroyed by the Babylonian invasion. At this time, more than 10,000 Jewish youth and nobles were taken captive and taken to Babylon.
How desperate and painful must have been for those who were held captive in Babylon! In today's text, verses 37:1, 2, 11, it says that the valley was full of dry bones, which means the nation of Israel, and the bones were dry. The people of Israel were placed in such a condition as if they were completely annihilated. But isn't that what the people of Israel are like today? Aren't we also living as prisoners of Satan, fashion, reason, and desire, forsaking God's blessings and love? In the midst of this despair, Israel had no way to solve the problem with their own strength and will, so they repented with tears and looked to God and prayed. Are there people who have no hope today like dry bones? I pray in the name of Jesus that you only look to God and pray with tears.
At this time, God called Ezekiel and showed him a wonderful vision, a dream. People, families and people without dreams perish. To overcome despair, you must have a dream. When we have dreams in our hearts, our lives, families, churches, and peoples can change. I pray that you have fantasies that writhe even in the dark realities of dry bones. God asked Ezekiel. “Son of man, can these bones live?” Ezekiel answers. “You know!” These words are the answer of faith, saying, “The Lord can do it!” Who is God? Isn't he the Almighty and the One without imperfections? God created the universe with the word! God is in control of history today! Ezekiel's confession, "The Lord can do it," is my confession.
What does it mean when it says that the dry bones came to life and were raised up like the armies of God? First, it is the promise of physical liberation (v. 12). Their only hope was to end their captivity and return to their homeland. To them, God said, “I will take you out of the tombs of Babylon and lead you to a land of blessings flowing with milk and honey!” promised Aren't we also living as captives of Satan today, living without dying in the midst of physical illness, material despair, and chaotic human relationships? To those who repent and look to God, God promises to open the door of the tomb and come out, to give true freedom and peace, and to lead them to the land of blessing. Please believe in this blessing. Second, it is a promise to set us free spiritually (verse 14). The Israelites did not only live as captives physically, but also spiritually. To these people of Israel, God said, “I will send my Spirit among you, that your spirit may live!” promised Today, during this worship service, I bless you in the name of Jesus that you may live in body and spirit.
In what way does He give us this wonderful miracle of being raised physically and spiritually from the grave? First, the miracle of the resurrection of dry bones began with the word of the Lord (verse 7). The power that can bring this desperate world back to life is only the power of God's word. Therefore, we must have a strong Word movement today. I pray in the name of Jesus that the power of the same Word of God who created the heavens and the earth through His Word will come to your hearts at this time today. Second, the miracle of dry bones was completed by the wind of the Holy Spirit (verses 9-10). Today, the wind of the Holy Spirit blows on our parched hearts and the Korean church. Even if we walk on parched land all day, we do not feel weary, and live water from the rock I pray in the name of Jesus that the blessings of exploding flowers blooming in the wasteland will overflow, and that the 1500 churches in Daegu will rise up as God's army that will defeat idols and establish the kingdom of God on this earth.
