Sermons for Preaching

Title: Everything Begins with Prayer

1. Introduction

The most important thing in everything in this world is its floor foundation, or foundation. The latter is markedly different depending on the foundation of the floor in all fields: academics, sports, music, architecture, home education, etc. Therefore, all those who have accomplished a family in their field consistently say <Find the basics thoroughly at the beginning!>.

There are also basics in the life of faith. It is a prayer life.

2. What is prayer? - the new interpretation

Prayer is simply speaking to God and listening to what God is saying to us. Prayer is both speaking and both listening.

Prayer is the bridge to God. Or, it is a strong adhesive that holds me as weak as a sheet of paper to God like a steel sheet. Or it is a wire that connects to God, who is the power plant. Any machine without power is scrap metal. All who are separated from God are scrap metal. He was alive, but he was actually dead.

Prayer is like oiling a machine. Machines need to be cleaned, tightened and greased to run well. No matter how much you clean and tighten, the machine will break if you don't lubricate it. No matter how good a person is, if they don't pray, they will soon break down.

3. Is prayer scientific? Is it unscientific?

It is commonly said that science and religion are at odds, but according to an American poll in 1997, 39% of the 100 best scientists in America believe in God. In particular, the percentage of mathematicians was high. Today, it turns out that science and religion are no longer in conflict.

Medical scientists studying the effects of prayer have found that patients who pray have a faster recovery rate and a greater sense of peace and hope during treatment than patients without prayer. They know that penicillin is also very effective, but when penicillin and the prayer of love are combined, the effects are enormous.

The study also overturns past scientific theories that the influence of a person's mental powers, consciousness, mind, and prayer is limited to an individual's brain and body. This study reveals that prayers offered in remote locations, or prayers offered unknowingly, actually exert a powerful influence in reality.

This study is conducted in physically distant places, such as Jesus healing a sick centurion's servant (Matt. 8:5-13) and healing the daughter of a Syrobonic woman possessed by a demon (Matt. 15:21-28). He showed us that these healing events performed in the Bible are not unscientific, absurd, and absurd.

As a result, one of the most distinct trends in modern medicine is a return to prayer. In 1995, three American medical schools had curricula that explored the effects of prayer and spirituality on health, up from nearly 30 in 1998.

4. Then how about prayer?

first. Prayer begins with inner silence. New energy and true unity can be found in silence. God's energy from silence is also our energy to do all things well. Particular attention should be paid to setting aside time for silence.

second. Prayer should be simple. Pray like this. <I love God. I believe in God. I desperately need God's help right now.> Do not make the prayer too long, but rather keep it short but with deep faith and love. Jesus told us not to gossip.

third. The psalms are words, praises, and prayers. If you look at the prayers in the Psalms, there are prayers that cry out (Psalm 86:3), prayers of thanksgiving (107), prayers of praise (Psalm 104), and prayers of meditation (Psalms 90, 91). Prayer can be different depending on a person's place in life and the state of inner fulfillment.

However, there is a risk of falling into a great temptation if we focus only on prayer. When you pray, you should always read the Word, meditate on it, and pray while praising. The Word, praise, and prayer are not three, but one.

5. Closing Story

God is in us closer than the me in me. It is He who gives strength and life to all that exists. So let's start praying again so that we can always be connected with God.
