evidence of faith in jesus
2 Corinthians 5:13-17 ‘13. If we are crazy, it is for God, and if we are wholehearted, it is for you. 14. The love of Christ compels us, for we consider that one died for all, that is, all are dead. , 15. He died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves, but for him who died and was raised for them, 16. Therefore, from now on we will see that no one We do not know Christ according to the flesh, but we no longer know Him as we are, 17. So if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
In verse 17, 17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” The new here means regeneration. The original word for a new creation, kaine ktisis, has the meaning of a new creation or a spiritual creation.
That is to say, it is a creation, not a personified.
What is the clear evidence that you believe in Jesus? When I first went to church, a man named deacon Mo seemed to sing well and understand sermons well, but he got drunk and killed himself. Today, even church members commit suicide. It's really sad and terrifying. Therefore, the assurance of salvation is a very important task. How can you prove that you are a true believer in Jesus?
1. The joy of salvation is full
Main text ‘13. If we are crazy, it is for God, and if we are wholehearted, it is for you.” The reason Paul made this intense expression is that after he met Jesus, he received a spiritual change and could not hide the joy of salvation so much that he passionately loved Jesus. As I said, people saw me as a crazy person.
Acts 26:24-25 ‘24. When Paul made this excuse, Festus (the governor of Judea) said with a loud voice, “Paul, you are crazy.
The early church was filled with joy by believing in Jesus. Acts 2:46 “Every day, we made every effort to gather together in the temple together, and broke bread at home, and ate food with joy and sincerity of heart.” The reason why we are so full of joy is explained in verse 14 in the text.
Text 14. “The love of Christ compels us; we think that one died for all, that is, all died.” It refers to the atoning death of Jesus Christ.
It was a very difficult political situation for the early Christians to believe in Jesus and confess that Jesus was Curios and Lord. In our history, it was a case similar to that of the Japanese colonial period.
But they were thrilled, thankful, and rejoicing with their whole body and mind that their sins were forgiven and saved through the blood of Jesus. I wasn't happy because I got better. In 1974, my hometown small church at that time was an old wooden building, no fans in summer and no stove in winter.
Can you believe it? But I couldn't explain why I was so happy because I liked the Lord so much.
2. The goal of life is Jesus
In the church, there are those who live by Jesus, and there are those who live for Jesus. If you truly believe in Jesus, you will come all-in to Jesus.
Verse 15, “He died for all, that the living might no longer live for themselves, but for him who died and was raised for them.”
1) I long for and follow the word of the Lord.
It is a natural attitude to find, read, and hear the contents of the record about Jesus because I love the Jesus I met. Because I want to know more deeply about Jesus, I read the Bible a lot (John 5:39).
?I longed for the Bible and struggled with an incurable disease while reading it fervently, but I was cured in about two years (the healing power of the Bible)
2) Plan your life for the Lord
I wanted to have two children and send them to seminary. I am thankful for salvation and I love the Lord....
3. Take an interest in spiritual things
Text 16 “Therefore, from now on we no longer know any man according to the flesh, although we have known Christ according to the flesh, but from now on we do not know him like that.” If you become a Christian, you are wrong. I used to spend money, but now I am interested in spiritual and spiritual things.
2 Corinthians 4:18 “We do not look at what is seen, but on what is unseen, for what is seen is temporary, but what is not seen is eternal.”
According to the prophecy of the Bible, in the last days, knowledge has increased and we are facing an era of knowledge and information. However, because of too much knowledge, it is rather difficult to distinguish the truth, and the church society has become confused. In times like these, our own individuals and individuals will have to live with the assurance of salvation. I pray that you and I will be victorious every day by becoming saints overflowing with joy and a sense of duty with the sure evidence of faith in Jesus.
