Title: Evidence of Salvation (1 Peter 01:10-12)

Contents The words of verse 1:9 that we saw last time are continuing today.

Today's Word explains the words of the end of faith, that is, the salvation of souls.

Today is a very precious word that reveals how the salvation we have obtained was obtained.

This is a sure statement about the evidence of salvation.

1, the study of the prophets

Regarding this salvation, the prophets who prophesied the grace that would come to you studied and studied diligently. Looking at the words of this verse 10, it shows what kind of feelings the prophets of the Old Testament lived.

The Old Testament prophets, or prophets, show how well prepared they were to proclaim God's word of salvation to God's people with whom they were dealing.

The Apostle Peter was the one who lived as a desperate source of water to help many people of faith living scattered at the time and how to receive more grace to us today.

So, by studying the words of grace and the events of grace, and diligently examining them...

The word “researched” here means that Sassat has been looking for and found it since the days of old.

In other words, it is not that he is researching what he has done now, but that he has been searching for and investigating in detail since a long time ago, although we do not know when.

The same is true of the saying to be diligent.

This statement also says that we are not looking now, but that we have been looking at it for a long time.

From a long time ago, the prophets and the apostles have been diligent and eager to see.

The first and second letters of Peter, which we are now pondering, are also letters written by diligently searching, searching, and diligently examining in order to give us the grace of salvation today.

Some people have been baptized with fire for salvation, but there are people who live dimly because there is no evidence of external or internal enemies.

Also, it seems that there are not many people who can say with certainty how the salvation of grace came to them.

If you are still unsure of your salvation, that is, those who have been baptized with the Holy Spirit and still do not feel the heat in their hearts, I hope that you will be able to have confidence in your salvation by reading and listening to this letter diligently.

Also, I hope that even those who are already convinced of their salvation will be able to earnestly and fervently live like those who have been baptized by fire and the Holy Spirit.

2, Appeal in advance

11 He searched for what time and what time the Spirit of Christ in him was indicating in advance, testifying of his sufferings and of his future glory.

The prophets and the prophets were the ones who searched and searched diligently as to how and when the Spirit of Christ in them would work.

So, if they had received the word they preached as the word of God as Amen without any addition or subtraction, they would have welcomed and welcomed them with joy when Jesus Christ came to this world, but that was not the case at that time.

Instead of accepting Jesus Christ, on the contrary, he committed atrocities by catching Jesus Christ and hanging him on a cross to death.

It was truly a no-brainer.

As such, the prophets studied, examined, and documented and reported, but the result was that they rejected Jesus.

Because they did not have the Spirit of Jesus Christ in them.

However, today, 2,000 years have passed, we have never seen Jesus Christ, even though we have never seen Jesus Christ, but how precious it is to live lovingly. As verse 11 says, we were not in the scene of suffering, but now we can see the Lord of Golgotha vividly What a thrilling event. Right now, deep in your hearts, you will see Jesus Christ standing on the cross for you and me, while he shed His blood.

It's not just the cross on Golgotha Hill.

I believe that you are seeing the Lord with the eyes of your heart, from the Lord who carried the cross, who is now looking down at me in a glorious form at the right hand of God.

Now all of us will have to watch and pray and wait for the hour and when this Jesus Christ will come.

At the time of Jesus Christ, those who neglected the prophecies of the prophets and the teachings of the apostles all failed to receive Jesus Christ.

Then, what will happen even in the last days if we do not watch and pray and keep awake and pray? Just like how many prophets and apostles prayed diligently and diligently, observing the times and times that they were instructed, we must always watch and pray and search the Word. do.

When we live like him, we will be able to run to receive the assurance of salvation, as well as joy when Jesus Christ descends on the clouds and comes in glory.

There were many people around us today who had the wrong day of the Second Coming and ruined our faith, our physical life, and our family.

The reason they had no choice but to live such a life of failure was that they wandered here and there because they had no assurance of salvation.

3, something for you

Verse 12 It was revealed by revelation that this service was not for their own sake, but for your sake, which has now been reported to you by those who preach the gospel by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, which the angels also want to see. There is something the angels longed to look into.

He said that it has now been delivered to you by those who preach the gospel through the Holy Spirit sent from heaven.

That is the content of verses 10 and 11.

It tells about the things that the prophets of the Old Testament church and the apostles of Jesus worked hard and diligently watched.

In doing so, countless prophets lost their lives.

Likewise, the apostles shed countless amounts of blood.

Verse 12 reveals who all these sacrifices were for.

He said it wasn't for him.

said it was for you

Those who have experienced the love of Jesus Christ do not live for themselves.

The Apostle Paul also said to the Philippian church, “Let nothing be done through strife or vanity, but in lowliness of mind, let each one consider others better than himself (Philippians 2:3), and love does not seek its own.

The Lord came to give His precious life.

Are you sure you are saved? Have you been baptized by fire? I hope you live for the sake of Jesus Christ who saved me.

I hope it can be true for the people of faith who are with me.
