Title: Excellent Leadership/Genesis 47:1-26

Content Title: Excellent Leadership

Text: Genesis 47:1-26

Key Verse: (Genesis 47:25) And they said, "You have raised us up, so we will find favor with you and become Pharaoh's servants."

Whenever we face difficult times, we need excellent leaders. Sometimes intelligent and self-interested leaders appear and ruin the fate of the country. However, in the world where they were sent as God's people and showed leadership, peace always settles, and the national ministries shout of joy.

A true leader is responsible not only for the simple political dimension, but also for the provision of daily bread. Not only that, but we must also prepare a place where God-given living things can live in peace. It was Joseph who emerged as a leader to solve this difficult historical task and became the prime minister of Egypt.

1. The true leader Joseph.

It is not easy to get the confession “The Lord has raised us up” from the pride and pride of the Egyptians. They wanted to serve the man who saved their lives. If it were not for Joseph's merits, the streets must have been lined with corpses and dying people, and people with bones in their bones would have staggered through them. People flocked to the one who had the key to this storehouse, bowing before him with gratitude.

Pharaoh was a symbolic leader, but Joseph is a real leader who rescued the Egyptian people. Who made these leaders? Was it his knowledge? Was it a dragon? Who can deny that Joseph became such a great leader by the hand of God's providence?

2. The kingdom of Christ is of utmost importance to the individual and the world.

He is not interested in power itself, but only wants to use it for our good and eventually turn this kingdom back to God so that God is the master of everything. Look at how Joseph did not take the praise he received from him as his own, but returned it to Pharaoh to keep his position and stature. The reason why I stand and fall with my wisdom is because of the greed to establish my own personal kingdom. But the real kingdom is the kingdom in which Christ claims and is glorified. It is our wish that this kingdom go on forever.

3. The people he blessed and saved gladly offered the kingdom to him.

This is the meaning of heaven's song. “(Rev 5:12) He said with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise.” His kingdom is by one sacrifice, and the souls he saved by this sacrifice cannot be counted. Meditate on Calvary's love for a long time. Then I will realize the urgency that this kingdom must begin in my heart, and that the kingdom of this world must be conquered by his kingdom.

Joseph is showing us the philosophy of a leader to return all the glory given to him to God. Therefore, he was able to receive God's love abundantly in his body until the moment of death.

4. The Lord has become king and is blessing us today.

As he ascended to the throne, the heyday of Egypt begins. No matter how hard the Egyptians tried on their own, they were not as good as what Joseph did for them. No matter how best the policies of their kings and dignitaries, they could not follow. The wisdom of the prime minister, who relied on God, was unmatched by anyone in Egypt.

We, too, will not know the true happiness and peace and joy and power of life until we have completely surrendered ourselves to the supremacy of Christ. Serving such a master is like drinking living water from a completely blessed river. Let's look to the Lord who excels in all things. There is nothing impossible with him; we shall forever be citizens of a happy nation.

apply

1) Do we see outstanding leaders recognized by God around us who are thirsting for a leader more than ever?

2) The nation, society, and group living with the leader God leads is the most blessed world. Where do you think our leader belongs?

3) Where is our true citizenship and who is the king there?
