Title: Exemplary Assumption/Job 1:5
Text: Job 1:5
Hymn: 376 (This is my lifelong wish)
The family of the Dodos is a microcosm of the kingdom of heaven and should be a model family. A man named Job is a family that has become a model for faith and life through ordinary family life in the village of Uz, where the Edomites live. Today, we want to learn a lesson by examining Job's family.
1) Job is an oriental tribe and has a multifaceted family.
He owned 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 yoke of oxen, 500 yoke of female donkeys, and many servants.
2) As godly parents, it is a family that guides their children in faith.(5)
It is a family that offers burnt offerings on every child's birthday and strives for the holiness of their children, thinking, 'Will they commit a sin?'
3) A person who has kept himself pure and honest.(1)
4) A person who has turned away from evil and has received direct approval from God for the title of the righteous.(8)
5) It is a family that only fears God, who is not proud in the midst of prosperity and who is not discouraged in the midst of trials (1:21).
In the midst of the serious family crisis that has emerged in modern society, we must overcome today's family crisis by taking Job's family as a model.
1) Parents must first set an example for their children's faith and life by living in holiness.
Job himself first set an example for life with integrity and honesty.(5)
2) You must learn the secret of being self-sufficient and lead a life that does not change due to the environment.
(Philippians 4:11-13) I am not saying this because I am in need, but I have learned to be content in any circumstance. I have learned the secret , I can do all things through him who strengthens me .
3) It should become a family where the whole family serves together with devotion.
Since the burnt offering is a sacrifice offering, a family in which the whole family is used well before God with all their body and mind is the happiest family.
4) It should become a family where there is harmony through brotherly kindness and love.
Job's family, where 7 boys and 3 girls can gather together on their birthday, is a happy family (Hebrews 13:1).
5) A family that is praised and recognized as light and salt in the world.
It is a family that is recognized by God, praised and recognized by the church and neighbors.
6) We must live according to God's will and become a family that gives glory to us.
Job 1:22 In all these things, Job did not sin, nor did he foolishly grumble against God.
conclusion
I pray that the result of Job's faith and life will be like this, remembering that he received the blessing of restoring everything double in Job 42:12-17.
