Title: Exodus 14:10-14, be still
Content Crisis is an opportunity and a way to meet God. These are the words God gives to us who are children of God today. "Be still and know that I am God." It is not my will or my thoughts, but God's promise to help me, plan great things for me, and deliver me. In today's text, a problem arose when Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt and headed for the promised land of Canaan. They faced death by hitting the walls of the Red Sea in front and the Egyptian army behind them. It was truly a crisis of dilemma. What kind of posture you take at such times is important. Like Moses, we must be able to see God's salvation through faith in God and boldly proclaim God's work.
First, do not be afraid and be still (verses 13-14). God said to Israel, "Do not be afraid, be still," and He said, "This is my battle."
Second, see salvation. In front of the Red Sea and behind Pharaoh's cavalry, what Moses saw in the imminent crisis was 'God's salvation'. With what power can a human be able to save the soul, the body, and the environment as well? But God saves us even from the pain of death. God has a purpose to save us. It is the glory of God.
Third, listen to the Word and obey it (verse 15). God speaks to Moses. "See the salvation He works for you today, and stretch out your hand over the sea." What is a miracle? It is obedience to the word of God. The word of God is a miracle, a power, and the presence of God. When they stretched out their hands of faith and obeyed, they buried the Egyptians in the middle of the Red Sea. Even today, in front of the Red Sea along the way of life, God gives grace to the saints who do not complain and do not be afraid of all the problems that cannot be overcome by their own strength, but stand firm in the Word and faith and hope for salvation. The Red Sea is divided, difficult problems are solved, blocked roads are opened, and closed doors are opened. When Israel saw the great power that Jehovah God had performed in the Red Sea, they glorified God and feared the Lord. I earnestly pray that you will live a life where you experience God's salvation, victory, and blessings.
