Title: Exodus 15:22-25 The water became sweet.
Contents Exodus 15:22-25
Our generation is overflowing with those who are thirsty for many things. People are constantly trying to find a way in the world to escape the pain of this thirst.
But they seek only "the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life" (1 John 2:16). The only way to escape this thirst is through Jesus Christ.
Faith and obedience follow the work of turning the bitter waters of life into sweet ones. When the lives of the people of Israel are at stake because they cannot find water on a desert road, they find a spring in Marah. But when I tried to drink this water, it was so bitter that I couldn't drink it at all. The people begin to despair and blame Moses. However, after obedient Moses got down on his knees and prayed, and at God's instruction, he threw a tree into the water, and the bitter water of Marah became the water of life that saved the Israelites (verse 25).
Dear brothers and sisters, sometimes the place where God led us was in Mara. When I was led to Mara after suffering thirst in a world like the wilderness, I only know that the fountain of Mara will soon quench my thirst. However, the mara may be a person or environment. But people and the environment are just bitter water. This is the world life.
Without faith, whether you drink the bitter water or leave, there is only death. However, 'Mara, the place where God has led' should not become a place of complaints and resentment. That place is a place of prayer. When we ask for the Lord's will and become a place of obedience to fulfill that will, the miracle of life of the cross of Jesus Christ, who became a tree, will be accomplished.
Through Andrew of faith who obeyed the Lord's word, with two fish and five barley loaves, the bitter water of hunger for 20,000 people was changed into 12 baskets of sweet water with satisfactory satisfaction. And because of the servants who obeyed the words of Jesus in the crisis of bitter water that the wine ran out at the house of the wedding banquet of great joy, we were able to give great joy to the banquet house with high-quality wine.
That's right. The Lord of Calvary's cross is the one who turns the bitter waters of life into sweet ones. There is joy in life when we obey His word by faith. A miracle appears. I bless you in the name of the Lord that you will become believers who are used as tools by obedience in faith.
