Content Title: Serve the Lord
Text: Ex 23:20-26
The Israelites received a lot of training and training from God for 40 years during their exodus from Egypt. Even during the Exodus, there was a command from God to keep the three feasts every year [Exodus 23:14-17]
1. Unleavened Bread - To commemorate the 7 days of coming out of Egypt, but he said not to show up to God empty-handed.
2. Harvest Festival - The season of harvesting the first fruits of what is sown in the field
3. Feast of Ingathering - Commanded to observe the feast of gathering and storing in Yeonjong's field
It is recorded in the Word of God as a natural fact that if you hear and obey God's voice, you will receive blessings and if you do not obey, you will be cursed. [John 10:27; Psalm 95:7; Ezekiel 43:2] It has already been said in the text that if we obey God's voice, certain results will come. We just need to put it into practice.
I. A messenger was sent [Ex 23:20]
A. A messenger sent from heaven. [1 Timothy 2:4-7]
B. One who has the name of God [Ex. 23:21]
C. Has the power to forgive sins [Ex. 23:21]
II. The greatest blessing is salvation.
Salvation is given to us by God without cost, so there are many cases where we do not know how precious it is, do not appreciate it, and just think it bluntly. If you think about it, you have saved us from eternal destruction, curses, pain and brimstone, but that is possible because Jesus paid for my sins. How many believers live without knowing this grace?
A. He has saved us from the hand of our enemies. [Exodus 23:23]
B. He leads you to the place you have prepared [Ex 23:20]
C. Blessings are given even in a short time [Ex 23:25]
1. Blessings on food, clothing and clothing [Matthew 6:31-34]
2. Heals the sick. - "I will remove sickness from among you..." [Matthew 8:17]
Ⅲ. What is the life attitude and responsibility of the saved person?
A. Be humble - Walk Humbly [Exodus 23:21]
B. Complete obedience [Ex 23:21; Matthew 23:10]
C. Exclude idols [Ex. 23:24]
1. Don't Worship
2. Don't Serve
3. Don't imitate the so-called
4. Destroy and Destroy
D. Serve Jehovah [Ex 23:25; Matthew 4:10]
Spurgeon began preaching at the age of 17, and at the age of 27 founded the largest Metropolitan Tabernacle Church in England. Moody served as YMCA secretary at age 20, Prince of the Jungle Livingston went on a mission to Africa at age 23, and John Calvin wrote his famous 'Christian Obsession' at 27. At the age of 27, Martin Luther initiated the Reformation by placing the 95 Theses at the gates of Wittenberg. John the Baptist was 30 years old, and Jesus died at the age of 33.
Obviously, Christianity is an active religion, and the youth should be the center of the activity.
In the name of the Lord, I pray in the name of the Lord that you, as faithful workers for the Lord, like our ancestors of faith, will become dedicated central saints who can take on the roles of light and salt in this turbid world.
"Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come, before the year draws near, when you will say that I have no pleasure in you" (Ecclesiastes 12:1)
