Title: Exodus and Resurrection

content agment>

Exodus and Resurrection Faith (Exodus 14:13-25, John 11:25-26)

We praise Jesus, who overcame the powers of sin and death and rose from the dead on the cross three days later.

(1) The resurrection of Jesus is an unbelievable event.

(2) Resurrection faith is unique to Christianity, which is not found in other religions. Jesus opened the way for the forgiveness of sins by dying, bearing the penalty for mankind's sins, and he rose from the dead because he could no longer remain in death because he had no sin. Without the cross there is no resurrection.

1. Resurrection through the power of the cross

(1) The resurrection of Jesus is not an accidental event, but an event that occurred because of the death of Jesus on the cross. Resurrection signifies the beginning of eternal life in which there is no more death.

(2) Resurrection means restoration of our relationship with God. The Bible does not say that simply physically breathing and moving is life, but living in a right relationship with God is life (John 11:25-26).

2. The watershed between life and death, the Exodus and the cross of Jesus

(1) The Exodus event (crossing the Red Sea) in which the people of Israel were saved from Egypt is a salvation event that is a watershed between life and death.

(2) Israel's crossing over the Red Sea is a foreshadowing of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ (John 5:24).

3. The difference between the land of the dead and the world of life

(1) How is life before the Exodus different from life after?

(2) The event of the Exodus is the starting point of faith in God. It is the beginning of salvation (Exodus 14:13-15). The event that the Israelites crossed the Red Sea signifies baptism (1 Corinthians 10:2).

4. Resurrection faith changes people.

(1) Those who have faith in the resurrection will live with the hope of eternal life (1 Peter 1:3-4, 2 Tim 4:7-8).

(2) Those who have faith in the resurrection will participate in saving the nations (Matthew 28:19-20).

Those who have faith in the resurrection will seek first His kingdom and His righteousness (Exodus 3:6,10).

Those who have faith in the resurrection live boldly with the power of God (Psalm 50:15, Jeremiah 33:3).

5. Let's enjoy God's inheritance through resurrection faith.

It was because of faith in the resurrection that Abraham became the source of blessing (Romans 4:18-24). In order to receive God's promises like this, you do not need to have faith in the resurrection. Because it is done entirely under the sovereignty of God (Genesis 12:1-3). However, faith in the resurrection was absolutely necessary to enjoy God's promises. When we believe and do not doubt God's promises despite any tribulations and difficulties, God considers our faith righteous and grants us the inheritance of faith.

Resurrection means the manifestation of true life. The life that was obscured by the fear of death because of the punishment of sin becomes a life that overcomes sin and overcomes the power of death, and life changes.
