Title: Expand Your Heart
Contents
The reason why this society is noisy and noisy today is because people have become selfish and know nothing but themselves. Those who only know themselves are small people. So is the church. If you put your own stubbornness first, you will not be peaceful and noisy.
There are not many churches that have received God's grace and gifts as much as the Corinthian church. However, as self-assertion appears and the apostolic authority declines, the church is noisy. Conflicts arise and sects (Pauls, Cebas, Apollos, and Christs) appear. So Paul, who founded the church in Corinth, was very heartbroken and said, “Saints in Corinth (Yangrim Church), our mouth has been opened toward you and our hearts have been broadened (by the work of the Holy Spirit), that you have been narrowed in us (by the gospel). It is not, but it is narrowed down in your hearts (human thoughts). As I speak to children, expand your hearts in reciprocation” (verses 11-13).
First, it is the heart of gratitude to know God's grace.
To be grateful is to know grace. In order to make grace into grace and grace to be grateful, we must have understanding. Thoughtless emotions are not emotions. Even if I touch a viper, if I do not know it is a viper, I will be bitten and killed. It is said in the Talmud, "The nose of a hungry person is sensitive." For those who live with a thirsty (lack) heart, all things are grace (Matthew 5:3). This is the confession of Ayako Miura, the author of "Freezing Point". "There is a grace that I only realized when I was sick. There is a truth that I learned only when I was sick. There are tears that I shed only when I am sick. There is a prayer that I offer only when I am sick. . There is another Lord that I meet only when I am sick. Give me the peace to accept what I cannot heal, and the courage to heal what I can." What a beautiful confession.
Second, we must be moved by the grace given to us (Psalm 112:1; Phil 4:4-7; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
Dear brothers and sisters, the reward for grace is joy. You should be thankful for the grace you have given. You should be thrilled that you have been forgiven. Satisfaction is important. When you do that, that emotion changes people inwardly. Your personality changes, your values change, your worldview changes. It will change the look of your face. I am tired when I try to keep the commandments. However, when we do according to the word, we are happy and blessed (Psalm 112:1). True grace changes the meaning of life and makes you a new person. Your face changes, your language changes. He impresses people with only virtuous and gracious words. Accepting reality as grace and the culmination of grace is true grace. Grace increases as you testify. Grace is amplified when we rejoice (2 Corinthians 6:1-2).
Third, an open-minded person is a humble person (Job 22:29; Proverbs 3:34; Isaiah 57:15).
I say in conclusion. To keep grace is humility, and to live by grace is humility. As much as we are humble, we live by grace and by gratitude. The peak of faith is humility, the peak of grace is humility, and the peak of gratitude is humility. God uses the humble and gives grace to the humble. Humility is the climax of grace (Matthew 11:28-29). Paul said that God not only gave me grace, but also gave me a grace to humble me, so that I could continue in grace. A person of grace becomes humble. “My grace is sufficient for you” (2 Corinthians 12:9; Gal 2:20).
