Experience the God who liberates and sets you free!
Today is the 100th anniversary of Gyeongsul Guk rule and the 65th year of liberation, August 15th, Liberation Day. Let's pray for the nation! “Christian Social Participation in a Biblical View” is “Is Christian Social Participation Biblical?” In the 1966 Wheaton Declaration, human freedom, equality, and social justice were officially declared as the ministry of the gospel witness, and in the Lausanne Covenant of 1974, neglect of social issues and evangelism and social responsibility were mutually exclusive. We repented of our mistakes that we perceived as exclusive and declared a balanced ministry of evangelism and social responsibility. And the 1982 Grand Rapids Report also revealed the participation of evangelicals in society.
On this point, John Stott, a leading evangelical theologian, is also convinced: “Among the followers of Jesus Christ, it is necessary to ask whether social participation is their concern, or the debate between evangelism and social responsibility is If it happened, it would be surprising. Because during his public life, Jesus 'went about teaching...preaching' (Matthew 4:23, 9:35) and 'wandering around doing good... and healing' (Acts 10:38). Because it is clear.”
“Therefore, first of all, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all men, for kings and all those in high positions. This is so that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and modesty” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Next we must obey the ruler, only in the Lord. If these rulers give orders against God, there is no need to obey.”
