Title: Faith and Freedom/Galatians 5:1

Content Faith and Freedom

Text: Galatians 5:1

Every day, the father goes to work, the children go to school, and the mother does housework. Suddenly, a family simply packs up and drives away. Behind them, the sound of bombs falling can be heard in the distance, and a procession of cars is going tail-to-tail. This is the reality of Lebanon right now. As 600,000 Lebanese refugees are fleeing into Syria, the United Nations is appealing to countries for funding because there is no aid available to feed them. Not only Lebanese refugees, but also 30,000 foreigners staying there, each country is sending ships and troops to Lebanon to evacuate their citizens. Israel fired bombs to punish a group called Hezbollah when two of its soldiers were taken hostage.

1. The Lord has called us to set us free.

If you say you are a believer who has met Christ and you do not enjoy true freedom in your life, you must know that something is fundamentally wrong. If you are caught up in your past, your wounds, your problems, your mistakes and your mistakes, you are wrong. If you are caught up in your neighbor's past, wounds, problems, and mistakes and faults, you are wrong. The purpose of Jesus' coming was to set us free from the suffering of this bondage. He came so that we may be freed from suffering and enjoy true peace by enjoying freedom. "The Prince of Peace" "Peace I give to you" "Christ set us free so that we may be free." Nevertheless, if you do not enjoy that peace and do not have freedom in your heart, it is because you do not understand the true will of the Lord. . Although there is a difference in degree, we must first recognize that humans are fragile beings who cannot help but live with suspicion. Where there is no faith, doubts and doubts arise. How do you feel about having a relationship with someone you don't trust?

It should be a life where you know yourself accurately through enlightenment. Without an accurate diagnosis, it is difficult to expect an accurate prescription. The second key is the key of faith that unlocks the door from that condemnation. It is the key of the sacrifice that the Lord gave you and gave you everything of yourself.

2. Stand firm and never again be subject to a yoke of slavery.

“Therefore, stand firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.” What does it mean to stand firm? This is the message to open with this key of love. It is to have faith that is strengthened in the love in which he forgave me, even when others condemn me. It means that you yourself abide in grace. It means that you yourself abide in the grace of forgiveness. But Satan tempts us to forget this grace. It warms our hearts. In other words, it excites them and drives them away from that grace. It tempts you to build your self-esteem. It is said that this is the temptation of self-worship. Psychologist Paulwitz says the heresy of self-worship is the most terrifying temptation. A hallmark of a sinful life is self-worship. I believe in the power of God who parted the Red Sea and the power of the Lord to feed thousands of people with five fish, but it makes us doubt the love of God who saved us. That doubt leads to self-worship. If you treat the Lord with self-worship, you may commit more crimes of trying to take advantage of God.

Self-worshipers come to the self-worshipers and whisper: "I'll just let it go, so I'll have to show you when I've seen it." Makes you fall in love with the temptation to do things that provoke your neighbours. “Do not seek vain glory, and stir up one another, and do not envy one another” (verse 26). Do not fall into turbulent temptations, and do not be tempted by turbulent temptations. Don't fall for the devil's temptations. "Do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery" The original meaning of "Do not be subjected to a yoke of slavery again" means not to be caught in a trap. That is, never again be subject to a yoke of slavery. Don't fall into the trap of temptation. Don't fall into the trap of self-worship. Where do you go when you are in trouble? Most likely, I will go to people who know me. But when you return from the place you visited, you will find yourself more excited and angry. It's not for any other reason. This is because, when what he complained about became a relationship with the person he was with, he was able to relieve his own feelings about it.

People who fall into these temptations sometimes tempt God. "God! You must not leave that ignorant and ignorant person who tormented me." "God! Show me an example." “Son, I left you alone, and I did not show you a pattern.” When we focus on God and know that we are His children, we can be freed from the temptations of self-worship and the inferiority of self-righteousness. It is time to realize that the word of God is not to yoke ourselves and our neighbors through the law, but to enable us to realize the grace of forgiveness and enjoy freedom through that grace. If you do not know grace, it becomes a law that you keep out of a sense of duty, and you become a hypocrite like the Pharisees. If you know grace, even if you fall down while trying to keep the law, you will get back up again and your faith will grow as your obedience becomes more abundant. You become truly free when you transition from self-worship to a life of worshiping God.

We must live a concrete life of faith that believes not only in big things, but in small things. You must have faith in the presence of God who is working specifically for God's righteousness in today's life. The concrete experience of God's presence through this belief makes one's self reborn as a truly free person. By breaking free from God's doubts and doubts and realizing the mystery of God, you become more free from yourself and become an instrument of God's glory. It is revealed to the free that this fruit of the Spirit is more abundantly manifested in life. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control; against such things there is no law” (Galatians 5:22,23).

The way to liberation from greed and the temptation to self-worship is found in believing in God. Those who believe in God will believe in the Word of God. A person of faith is to receive the key that God has given, that is, the key of the cross by faith. We become truly free when we abide in grace by believing that we have eternal life because we were sinners who had no choice but to die on the cross. There is hope in believing in His love. Even if you are a neighbor you can't trust now, have hope because the Lord loves you. Enjoy true freedom by believing in your neighbor in grace. There is no one to believe but the Lord Jesus. Enjoy true freedom in His love bills. That law of love is a love of forgiveness, a love of humility and sacrifice.
