Contents
Subject : 2009 to Believe and Obey Ⅱ
Word: Numbers 14:1-10
[1] And the whole congregation lifted up their voice and cried, and the people wept all night long.
[2] And all the children of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, It would have been better if we had died in Egypt or in the wilderness.
[3] Why should the LORD bring us into the land, that we may perish by the sword, that our wives and wives will be taken captive, and should not it be better for us to return to Egypt?
[4] Then they said to one another, "Let us appoint a governor and return to Egypt."
[5] And Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the congregation of the children of Israel.
[6] And Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh tore their garments from among those who scavenge the land.
[7] Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, The land we went through and searched for is a very good land.
[8] If the LORD is pleased with us, he will bring us into that land and give it to us, a land flowing with milk and honey.
[9] But do not rebel against the LORD, nor be afraid of the people of the land; they are our bread; their guardian has departed from them, and the LORD is with us. Do not fear them.
[10] At the same time that the whole congregation stoned them, the glory of the LORD appeared to all the children of Israel in the tent of meeting.

The people of Israel are not moving forward now.
With the Promised Land of Canaan in front of them, they are weeping, grumbling, and complaining all night for some reason in front of the land of Canaan, which they have been longing for.
▶It shows that there is a life where you see only what you see first and only walk in place.
Today, let's look at verses 1~2 of God's word again.
"The whole congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept all night. All the children of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them, "It would have been better if we had died in Egypt or in this wilderness."
God promised the land of Canaan that connects Europe, Asia, and Africa in order to use the people of Israel as the channel of salvation history.
The people of Israel believed in God's promise and followed Moses' guidance as they crossed the wilderness.
And they were curious about what kind of land the Canaanite land was, so 12 spies were sent to the Canaan land first to search it.
Twelve spies returned after discovering the land of Canaan, and 10 of them are telling negative stories. People who hear these negative stories are caught up in their words and become discouraged.
In this way, the people of Israel only see what is in front of them and stay there. And all night long we cried and cried and rioted.
Rather, the power of God! Even though we had to prepare sacrifices of praise and thanks while looking at miracles, it ended up being a place to weep while complaining and complaining.
These people did not prepare for tomorrow and were just walking in the same place.
If anyone is caught up in fear, anxiety, resentment, and complaining, he cannot move forward. They are just memdols in the same place. Then they get tired and drink without hesitation.
Here, the characteristics of the Israelites' life in the wilderness were their resentment and complaints.
I resent the Red Sea ahead. They complain about being powerless and thirsty on the road in the wilderness. Complains about wanting to eat meat.
They always lived through this cycle of complaints and resentment. They say that it would have been better if they had died in the land of Egypt or in the wilderness.
You are speaking recklessly.
Even those who believe in Jesus seem to be reckless in their words. It is our Christian life to be really careful with our words and actions.
Everyone, I sincerely pray that our lives will become a life where we can shake off all our grudges and complaints and now we can strengthen our faith, hold on to the cross and move forward.
▶Secondly, there is a life of stepping back.
Let's look at verses 3~4 of God's word today.
'Why should the Lord bring us into that land, that we may perish by the sword, that our wives and wives will be taken captive, and should it not be better for us to return to Egypt?
The Israelites arrived at Mount Sinai three months after they crossed the Red Sea. And they stayed at Mount Sinai for about a year, receiving the Word of God and receiving education from it.
After about 15 months, they came to the Jordan and are looking at the land of Canaan. Now, after these 15 months of wandering in the wilderness, the Promised Land is in front of us.
Now, if they set up their hearts with faith and obey God's word, they will be able to enter the land of Canaan and live in a land flowing with milk and honey.
Nevertheless, they were in this position now, blaming God and denying their leader Moses, saying, "Let's go back to Egypt" by raising a commander.
When I saw the Canaanites, I thought that I would not be able to withstand them.
So, they decided to give up the occupation of Canaan.
God made the Israelites a holy nation. He made it a kingdom of priests for the work of salvation.
That is why he gave and led the land of Canaan, which is a road passing through the three continents of the world, Asia, Africa, and Europe, as the promised land since the time of Abraham.
[There is a blessing because there is a mission. You must realize that you have a mission to be blessed. The fact is that the more you receive grace, the greater your responsibility.]
But today's Christians love to receive.
I want to receive grace. I want to receive blessings. I want to live a happy life. I want to meet good people.
At the same time, what I have to do is that the ultimate belief of the people of this world today is to forget and live.
Rather than living according to the will of God, they want to live according to the will of the world and according to the will of men.
Everyone wants to be successful, and everyone wants to win. However, not everyone wins and not everyone succeeds.
All successful people in the world have a positive and positive mind and attitude. A person with a positive attitude sets clear goals and lives.
And in order to achieve the goal that he has set, he puts great effort into selling Chiljeon. Nothing in the world can be obtained for free.
And fight hardships. Overcome trials. Overcoming temptation, challenging adversity and moving forward. A person who goes forward is never frustrated or discouraged by one or two failures.
Are there people who just don't want to hesitate because life has been difficult? In the second week of January 2009, when you have to get up again and move forward, are there people who do not have the courage to lie down?
It should never be. We bless you for believing that "there is an opportunity, there is hope, there is a future, and there is a Father who makes it happen." To lose hope and to lose hope means to step back and become a loser.
This time, on the second Sunday of the new year, 'Living God in my heart! God of victory! God of power! I pray that you will be filled with the God of answers!'
▶Thirdly, there is a life that only goes forward.
Let's look at verses 7-8 together.
“Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, The land we went through and searched for is a very good land; if the LORD is pleased with us, he will bring us into it and give it to us, a land flowing with milk and honey. '
Only Joshua and Caleb saw the invisible God more than the visible Canaanites. Even if you look at the same thing at the same time in the same place and think the same, they say different things.
It is really important to have a positive attitude in everything. Conversely, a person with a passive attitude will never be a success in life.
There is a saying that [attitude is more important than facts]. What kind of attitude you have in a given environment is very important.
In a given environment, my attitude is more important than what I see with my own eyes.
What attitude you have is really important.
The Lord said in the book of Job, 'He knows the way I go, and after he has tested me I will be as gold, and I will recover.'
A person's outlook on life changes depending on what kind of attitude a person has, what kind of attitude he has. Depending on what kind of outlook on life you have, your attitude toward life will change.
Without even trying, it's hard~ No~ It's hard~ I can't~ I'm ruined~ I'm like that~ I'm destined to be like this~ If you think like this, you're a loser who has no choice but to become like that, and you're destined to be like that.
On the other hand, "I can! I am blessed! I am blessed!" If you take such an active challenge, I pray that you will believe that God will make it happen according to your faith.
When Joshua and Caleb saw the people of the land of Canaan, they were not in awe because they believed in God.
Let's look at verses 8-9 one more time.
'If the LORD is pleased with us, he will bring us into the land and give it to us, a land flowing with milk and honey. Their protector has departed from them, and the LORD is with us; do not be afraid of them.”
Joshua and Caleb are our prey. They are shouting, "It's my food."
It means that if God is with us, we are nothing.
With this mindset, I want to move forward.
Although it is difficult right now, it is said that if the Lord gives grace, if the Lord works, then life's comeback is possible.
The one who goes forward is the one who delights in Jehovah. A person who obeys the Lord.
