Title: Faith and the Arm of the Lord

Contents

The gospel that God has given to this world is the Lord Jesus Christ whom he has sent. Precious faith comes from hearing, and hearing comes through the Lord Jesus Christ, the Word of God made flesh.

The prophet Isaiah testified, “Who has believed our report? To whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?” (Isaiah 53:1).

In the above evidence, he not only said, “Have you believed?” and “Have you believed”, but again He said, “To whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” and “To whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”

In order to fulfill the words of the prophet, not only through faith, but also the arm of the Lord must be revealed. Therefore, faith in which the arm of the Lord does not appear in faith is dead faith.

Faith is our heart and our arms are the works of God. If the arm of the Lord does not appear in my faith, this faith is in vain. As it is written, “As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead” (James 2:26).

When the arm of the Lord appears in faith, this faith is “faith that works through love.” It is as it is written, “In Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any effect, except faith working through love” (Galatians 5:6).

Those who have faith working through love are children of God. This is because God is love. It is the same as it is written, “We have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love. He who lives in love abides in God, and God in him” (1 John 4:16).

Therefore, “faith” and “the arm of the Lord” are co-workers. It is like a son and a father working together for good.

As it is written, “As workers with God, we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain” (2 Corinthians 6:1).

That is why the Bible testifies, “Truth springs up from the earth, and righteousness goes down from heaven” (Psalm 85:11). Just as a wild beast that picks up fruit from the bottom of a tree and ate it, does not know that the fruit has fallen from above, and only searches the ground, so if you only know faith and do not know the arm of the Lord, you are like an unreasonable beast.

Therefore, the Bible says about this, “These men blaspheme whatever they do not know; and like irrational beasts, they perish by what they know instinctively” (Jude 1:10). When you eat it, you are the reef of your love feast, the shepherd who feeds only yourself, the waterless cloud blown away by the wind, the fruitless autumn tree that dies and dies and uproots it, the raging waves of the sea foaming up its own shame, the dark darkness prepared for ever. They are wandering stars” (Jude 1:12-13).

Another apostle said to the vain men who had faith and lacked the arm of the Lord, saying, “These are springs without water, mists carried away by a storm, and a gloomy darkness is prepared for them. Those who have barely escaped from those who practice deceit by vomit, they seduce in the lusts of the flesh through sexual immorality, and claim to give them freedom, but they themselves are slaves to destruction, for whoever overcomes is the slave of the one who overcomes.” (2 Peter 2:17-19) ) is a warning.

Therefore, it is written, “You see that faith worked together with his works, and faith was made perfect by his works” (James 2:22). Therefore, let us come to God with a true heart and complete faith” (Hebrews 10:22).

Faith comes from my heart, but what I am is by your grace, your arm. Therefore, he said, “Lord, who has believed what we have heard, and to whom has your arm been revealed?”

Blessed are those who have been put into the arms of the Lord through faith in the Lord Jesus. It is written, “He feeds the flock like a shepherd; he gathers the lambs in his arms and takes them into his bosom, and gently guides the suckling females” (Isaiah 40:11). Amen, thank you Lord.
