Title: Faith comes from hearing...
The Apostle Paul said, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.” Paul is saying that in order to grow in our faith, we must listen to Christ. The Word of God is the same, so why did Paul have to use the word “Christ”? The words of God and Christ are one and the same. Nevertheless, Paul says that we must listen to the words of Christ in order to perfect our faith.
Why does Paul say this? The reason is as follows. Because God exists as a spirit, He cannot appear before humans. If it appears in front of humans, all human beings who have not been forgiven of their sins will die on the spot. A good example is “the people of Beth-shemesh had looked into the ark of the LORD, and they struck them and killed fifty and seventy men; and the people mourned because the LORD struck the people and slaughtered them greatly” (1 Samuel 6:19). So many people died on the spot.
God made His Son in the flesh and sent them before men for two main purposes. The first purpose is because the blood of your son without blemish was needed to solve the original sin committed by the first man, Adam, and the second purpose is because the blood of your son was sent to humans in order to solve the self-crimes that humans commit in their daily lives. It was sent before.
What father in the world would love to give up his son to die? However, the father wanted his son to escape the cup of death from him, because only his son's death can save mankind trapped under sin. Leaving behind him, he gave up his son like Sainte to the cross. This is the great will of God who loved mankind.
The reason why Moses was not recognized as a son even after escaping millions of his people from Egypt was because his sins had not been resolved before his son came. Therefore, the event that he led the Israelites out of Egypt was nothing more than saving the Israelites' bodies. You can never enter eternal life because your sins have not been resolved by only saving the body.
This is the same reason that Christians all over the world today cannot enter eternal life by preaching the gospel and making unbelievers to believe in Jesus. Just like the process in which Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, Christians have only crossed the Red Sea in the name of Jesus. Just as the Israelites had to cross the Jordan River following Joshua (son) to enter the land of Canaan flowing with milk and honey, Christians today also have one more task to cross the spiritual Jordan River following the spiritual son God sends them in the future. .
If you believe that you are now in the land of Canaan because you believed in Jesus and received the Holy Spirit, it is the same as falling into a great pit. If you remember that even the Pharisees at the time of Jesus mistakenly thought that they were in the land of Canaan and did not believe in the Son God had sent, then they all went to destruction. I recommend.
When the Apostle Paul said, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ,” he was referring to the Son who would personally come before men, unlike God who is in spirit. In today's church, you and I teach a lot of the Bible. However, no matter how many times you listen to the Bible, your faith will not grow only with the words they teach. The reason is that there is a problem with those who teach the Word. If Christ is not in the hearts of those who teach the Word, how will the faith of those who hear the Word grow?
Let's take the apostle Paul as an example. Even before he met Jesus, he was excellent in law and learning. Suppose that he, who has not been reborn as Jesus, uses his rich knowledge to teach the Bible. Then, will the faith of those who listen to Paul grow? What can Paul himself teach others who have not yet come to full salvation? No matter how good he may say it, he is merely teaching his thoughts.
Likewise, today, no matter how well-known seminaries are, even if you have a lot of knowledge and memorize the entire Bible, if Christ is not in the heart of the one who teaches the word, as in the case of Paul, everything he teaches is only his own thoughts. If you are taught by such people, your biblical knowledge may be abundant, but your faith will not grow at all.
If there are people who mistake the Holy Spirit for the Spirit of Christ and believe that Christ is in their hearts, I recommend that you change your mind after this time. The Holy Spirit is not the Spirit of Christ, but the Spirit of the Father (see Matthew 10:20). The Holy Spirit came to give spiritual law to the Gentiles who believe, and also provided the path for Gentiles to begin their religious life. And the gifts of the Holy Spirit are only a means to show unbelievers to believe, and furthermore, to maintain their faith until the Son comes before them.
Then, why do believers need to hear the words of Christ to grow in their faith? This is because he personally comes before us and speaks directly. If Paul had taught the Bible before he met Jesus, it would be human thoughts and his faith would not grow. Christ, who came personally, teaches us not only to speak, but to put the Word into practice. So faith is growing.
For example, there is a saying, “Love your enemies.” Then people do not understand at all how to love their enemies. Even if you know it as a theory, it is never easy to put it into practice. For this reason, many people today memorize the words of the Bible, but there are no people who live by putting them into practice. So your faith will not grow either.
The same goes for repentance when you come to the chapel. Everyone only repents and turns around, but as time goes by, they repeat the same thing over and over again. The Jews gave the Gentiles the names dogs and pigs because the Gentiles with corrupt hearts picked up and ate what they vomited (sin) like a dog, and went to a dirty place (sin) like a pig to lie down again.
But those who have Christ in their hearts never say, “Love your enemies” only with words or with the mouth. If you have been told to “love your enemies,” you must put it into practice. However, those who have not been born again into Christ cannot love their enemies even when they wake up from death because hate remains in their hearts. It is proof that one's self is alive. However, a person who has given up on himself can love his enemies as much as he wants because there is no hate left in his heart. This is the difference between those who are born again as Christ and those who are not.
The fact that today's churches are increasingly partnering with the world is proof that the Son's coming is not far away, and the evidence that those who teach the Word are also increasingly being stained by the world is proof that Christ does not exist in them. Because the Holy Spirit came as a law, if believers reject the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is being rejected. However, those who reject the Holy Spirit must ultimately stand before God's stern judgment seat. This is because you broke the law.
However, because Christ comes as the Lord in our hearts, he never leaves us to live as we please, and leads me thoroughly into the Word. We must bring the One who comes like this into our hearts as masters. And only when we grow up by hearing the words of the one who has this kind of Christ can our faith grow completely. - I hope those who have ears will hear and understand-
