Faith, Dream, Vision
(Ezekiel 47:1-10; Acts 2:17)
When God speaks to us, He has a will for us. So, the word of God is a blessing.(...) When we listen to the word of God, we should think about our reality and see the vision of the future. The gospel is our ideal and our reality at the same time. The gospel answers our real problems and directs us in the direction we should go. (...) In the words we hear, we have our faith, our dreams, and our visions. Fantasy is a necessary thought and spirit in this age.
Modern people are overly realistic. My thoughts became bleak. (...) So the power that sustains the world is getting weaker. We even do baby auctions online. The number of people with AIDS increases every year. Adolescent pregnancy rates, abortion rates and suicide rates are on the rise. This is because, in the end, faith, dreams, and illusions have been deprived of us in this age. A world that does not dream of tomorrow is the last days. In Acts 2:17, God tells us to have faith and have dreams and visions in the last days. Received by your Spirit, the young people see visions and the old people dream dreams.(...) Believers are people who live in visions and dreams. We call this vision.(...) If a believer does not have a vision (fantasy), he cannot be called a believer. Now, let me tell you some conditions for having a vision.
① Vision must have a long view.
You can live today with sincerity through a vision you build with a vision of 10 or 20 years ahead.(...) If you live only for today, you can be deceived.(...) Recently, at the World Para Swimming Championships held in the Czech Republic, Do you know Kim Jin-ho, who won the gold medal in the 200m backstroke? 19 years ago, his mother was desperate when she saw Jin-ho, who could not hear her mother's voice or make eye contact even when she was 3 years old. Then she started going to church and prayed after hearing God's word to have a vision. And he discovered his son's talent for swimming and eventually raised him as a world-class athlete.(...) Our church also has a vision. One is that all saints receive God's grace fully and live a life centered on grace. The second is to share the grace received from the church to the local community. Our church will be a Grace Center that blesses and comforts this area.
② Vision broadens the scope of interest.
Individualism or selfishness cannot be a vision. Prophet Joel asked the people who were wandering in the darkest and most desperate situation to give hope not only to themselves but also to the nation.(...) Jimmy Carter went to church school after his presidency was over. He said that the president is a temporary position and the teaching position is a lifelong position. He dreams of going to church school. This is called vision. We have a vision of inviting 1,500 neighbors on December 4th. It is also our vision for all people in this world to become God's people.
③ Vision must be connected with the ideal.
Vision is invisible but visible evidence.(...) Those who come to God must believe that God exists and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Amen.
