Title: Faith in Exodus

Contents

Exodus Faith

The book of Exodus is the Word of God that gives wonderful lessons both biblically and historically. Therefore, through Exodus, we can learn about God's providence, world management, the redeeming grace of Jesus Christ, and the vision of faith.

1. Exodus was God's plan

God had a wonderful plan to create a great nation through one Abraham. (Genesis 12:2~3, 15:13,14b,16a, Exodus 1:1~7) God called Moses to lead the people of Israel. He gave us the mission to deliver us from Egypt, which was a command to guide Canaan, which he had already promised with Abraham (Ex 3:1-12). Israel's Passover is the first plague to be prayed for (Exodus 12:13). Because of this, he led 600,000 men and many livestock and left Egypt after 430 years. Through the Exodus, God organized and declared the premise that the nation, nation, and the whole world belonged to God. Therefore, we must believe in God's management of the world revealed in the Exodus, and we must believe in God's management of ourselves, our family, the church, and the nation.

2. Exodus Faith

① Faith of determination

Just as the people of Israel came out of Egypt, we must come out of a world like Egypt (Genesis 12:1,5). Sometimes, in order to keep our faith, we have to face pain, separation, hardship, and even take undesirable adventures. You have to live. (2 Corinthians 6:17-7:1)

② Faith in Vision

The Exodus event is an event heading toward ‘Canaan’ prepared by God. The land of Canaan was promised to Abraham (Genesis 12:1-17:7-8), Isaac (Genesis 26:1-4), Jacob (Genesis 28:13-14), and Joseph (Genesis 50:24-25) is. Today, we are the saints who come out of this world of sin and go to the heaven prepared by Jesus. (John 14:1~3, Philippians 3:20, Hebrews 11:13-16) Therefore, the faith of the vision to hope for heaven As a result, we must overcome this harsh and evil world.

③ Faith mature through faith training

Of course, the journey from the Exodus to Canaan was a difficult one that included a lot of training in faith. We too must receive many trainings of faith and overcome them until we reach the kingdom of heaven. (Deuteronomy 8:2, James 1:2-4, 1 Pet 1:6-7, Job 23:10, Job 42:5) People of all faith must have faith. He received his training and lived a capable life. As in the lyrics of hymn 336, believers must keep their faith in the midst of tribulation and persecution and undergo the training of faith that they can keep. (2 Timothy 2:3) Through training, you can lead a mature life of faith.

④ Faith of Redemption

This is the center of the faith in the Exodus. (Exodus 12:12~13) When we look at the leather garments granted to Adam (Genesis 3:21) and the sacrifices of Cain and Abel (Genesis 4), the blood symbolizing the blood of Jesus Christ. It contains the meaning of shedding, that is, redemption. (Hebrews 9:22, Mark 10:45, Matt 26:28, Gal 6:14,17, Heb 3:1, Heb 12:2)

3. Give me the miracle of Exodus!

Joseph's life in Egypt, which started as a slave, went through a difficult process such as prison and eventually became the prime minister of Egypt, which led to the emigration of 70 of Jacob's family to Egypt. For the next 400 years or so, a large nation of 2.5 million people witnessed God's 10 plagues on Egypt, and finally passed the Passover and left Egypt. The Red Sea, the pillar of cloud, the pillar of fire, the bitter waters of Marah, the manna and quails, the waters of the rock, the Ten Commandments, the tabernacle all these were miracles, that is, the grace of God. This grace we long for is a sign and a shadow of Jesus Christ. Jesus still works miracles for us!

Believe in Jesus. Recognize it personally and obey it. Jesus Christ, who is still alive and is our miracle, will grant the faith of the Book of Exodus to all people of faith who obey by faith. And He will give you the miracle of Exodus!
