Title: Faith in Gratitude (Psalm 145:1-10)
Content People greet anyone they meet every time they meet. In the past, life was difficult, so even if we met at dawn or at night, it was 'You were serious', but now we don't know what happened overnight, so we say 'Hello' when we meet.
When you receive grace, you greet them with 'thank you' and 'thank you'. It is said that Americans have been blessed by God because they are a nation that knows how to be thankful. Before they can even finish their words, they say 'THANK YOU' Deng Q.
In the Old Testament, the Hebrew verb for 'thank you' is 'yada' (throw), and the derived feminine noun 'roda' means to give thanks.
On this Thanksgiving Day, we must become blessed saints by knowing how to give thanks to God.
1. Faith in gratitude for duty In the Old Testament, God's law works for six days, and on the seventh next page (return key) continuous printing (NS) Others (Z) > ns The day rests. The fiftieth year was celebrated as a jubilee, and it was their duty to the law to give the firstfruits and pay tithes.
To keep it as a duty means to keep the Sabbath, but not with thanksgiving. Because it is a command of God's law, he knew it and did it as a duty to keep. So, in the beginning, I kept the Sabbath day and offered gifts well, but as the years passed, I became able to offer things that were blind, lame, and sick.
(Mal 1:8-). But after Jesus Christ came, it was a grace, not a duty.
Because I am a Christian, I do not feel obligated to worship on Sunday, but I must become a worshiper because I am grateful that a sinner who is destined to die is atoned for and saved through Jesus Christ.
Faith in duty is not true gratitude. Paul was the one who was grateful for everything, even though he received grace and performed many miracles and works (Galatians 1:5, 2 Timothy 2:1, 1 Corinthians 15:10).
2. Faith to achieve one's own righteousness Among the believers, you will see many people who pray a lot, serve diligently in church work, and are loyal. However, there are cases in which such people quickly lose their zeal and do not even pray or participate in the service. Because they prayed and served fervently to achieve their own righteousness (Romans 10:2). This is not faith. If your purpose is not achieved, you will soon become discouraged and go back into the world. Even if you pray and serve, if you do it with lust for your own righteousness, you will not receive an answer (James 4:2). Therefore, we need zeal and service to God. The faith to truly thank God is to have no grudges and complaints.
3. The faith of thanksgiving of true faith.
