Content Subject : Faith in Thanksgiving
Word: Isaiah 12:1-6
[1] On that day you will say, O LORD, you were once angry with me, but now your wrath has rested, and you comfort me. I will give thanks to you.
[2] Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust and have no fear, for the Lord GOD is my strength and my song and my salvation.
[3] Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.
[4] And on that day you shall say, Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name, declare his works among the nations, and his name is high.
[5] Blessed be the LORD, for he has done a very beautiful thing, let it be known to all the world.
[6] Lift up your voice, you inhabitants of Zion, and cry, for the Holy One of Israel is great among you.

Christianity is a religion of worship to the living God. In the Old Testament, worship was through sacrifice, but in the New Testament, worship in spirit and truth is emphasized rather than worship through sacrifice. This is because Jesus Himself became a living sacrifice to complete the Old Testament sacrifice. Gratitude is an essential part of worship, and it is divided into two categories: worship service and blessings received. We have several lessons to learn from Abraham's sacrificial faith.
▶The first is the target problem.
Abraham built an altar to God. The object of the sacrifice and the object of worship are clearly revealed. The object of sacrifice in the Bible is God. If you look at the Bible, there is no record of ever offering sacrifices to people.
▶Secondly, sacrifices were made wherever they went.
This shows Abraham's omnipotence faith. In other words, because God is everywhere, wherever he stopped to stay, he offered sacrifices to God. Therefore, we, those who believe in Jesus, believe that we should keep the Christian dignity anytime, anywhere. Everyone!! Worship is the basis of the Christian life. Therefore, the time and frequency of worship should not be reduced. therefore
☞ First of all, I hope that you will do your best to attend all worship services.
We hope you will do your best at all worship times. It is not to say that you want your faith to grow while neglecting worship.
☞Secondly, you must strictly observe the time.
You should not think that you can be late for worship. Time is a promise. Promise is closely related to fidelity. I pray that you will be able to keep your time promise with God.
☞Thirdly, we must prepare with sincerity and give sincerity.
You must prepare your body, mind, and offering in advance. Also, the surroundings must be cleaned up. Worship is a holy time to meet God and a time to organize spiritual events, so you have to offer it in spirit and truth.
▶The third is to offer sacrifices.
Not only Abraham's sacrifice, but all the Old Testament sacrifices were offered with the sacrifice. Even in the New Testament, in Romans 12:1, it is written, 'Present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice.' None of the sacrifices are empty-handed. This means that you must offer thorough devotion and sacrifice before God. In other words, we must offer a sacrifice of thanks. In today's text, Isaiah 12:1, it says, 'I will give thanks to the Lord.' There is a reason for gratitude that Isaiah 12 reveals.
☞First, it was because the wrath had ceased.
In the text 12:1, it says, 'Now his wrath has ceased, and he comforts me. This means that Jesus will bear the wrath I will receive on the cross and give me comfort and peace. It is saying that Jesus will take the wrath and punishment that I will receive and give me comfort. This fact is recorded in Isaiah 53:5, 'He was pierced for our transgressions, and he was bruised for our iniquities'. We believe that even with this one fact, we should live with gratitude for the rest of our lives.
☞ Second, because he is my salvation.
In verse 2 of the text, it is written, 'Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust and have no fear, for the Lord GOD is my strength and my song and my salvation'. It is worth paying attention to the first-person expression [my] here. Depending on who you see the Savior, the form of faith and life will be different. Only God is God, and He is our savior. Thank God for being my savior. Be thankful that you can call God your Father. Please pray to God and be thankful that you can receive an answer.
☞Dear Sandoll Saints~
Thank God. Thank you for that grace and love. In the name of Jesus, I pray that you will become the members of Sandoll Church who give thanks for being my God and my savior.
