Title: Wheat and Weeds Faith

Bible: Matthew 13:24-30

Starting Point of the Word>>

This time, we would like to share a message with the title of “Faith in the Wheat and Weeds”.

In today's text, Jesus talks about what kind of faith is pleasing to God through the parable of the wheat and the tares in the presence of many people with his disciples.

If we look at verse 24,

“Jesus gave another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.”

You said.

God was good on this earth by creating the life of the grain that pleases God, but we can see that the evil devil, Satan, is planting life like tares among the lives that God has created.

Today, through the parable of the wheat and the tares, I hope that you will listen to the words we need to understand in order not to become believers like the tares.

Starting Point of the Word>>

So, what does the tares look like in the Bible today?

First, the tares are like wheat, but they cannot bear fruit.

Example>>

There was a certain novice preacher.

Normally, the church does not give sermons for seniors, but I am now in charge of sermons for seniors.

I was thinking about how to do it well.

The lecturer began his sermon like this.

"Everyone, the warmest woman I've ever hugged was the wife of another man."

What kind of bullshit is this?

It was surprising that there were all these immoral pastors.

The next moment, I relaxed, saying, "By the way, that woman is my mother."

After that, I started to unravel the importance of love.

The evangelist slapped his knees and immediately thought that sermons are like that.

The evangelist came to his church and started preaching.

"Everyone, the warmest woman I've ever hugged was the wife of another man."

Suddenly, a young evangelist who was not married was like this, and the grown-ups were surprised and their eyes widened.

There was too much tension, and it looked like ice water instead of cold water.

The preacher was so flustered that he couldn't remember the next words.

After hesitating for a while, he was forced to say, “But I can't remember who that woman is,” and it completely ruined the sermon that day.

The evangelist who stood with only the shell like this tried to cook it well, but it was time to ruin the sermon.

Many churches today do evangelism.

We prepare various methods and programs to nurture saints like wheat.

However, if we can summarize the wisdom necessary for evangelism in two words, we must realize that it is 'practice' and 'perseverance'.

It is estimated that it takes an average of 4 years for an unbeliever to evangelize before they have faith.

In a way, a church where practice and patience are in harmony is growing into a church that bears true fruit.

One day, while Jesus was on the road, he became very hungry.

I looked down the roadside to pick fruit under a fig tree, and the fig had many leaves but no fruit.

Ladies and gentlemen, if we are living a life of faith without fruit, we should check whether we also possess the weeds of faith.

According to Ephesians 5:11,

As the saying goes, “Do not participate in the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather rebuke them”, we must look back on ourselves without fruit and experience God's grace to be transformed into saints who bear fruit.

Second, the weeds hinder the growth of the wheat.

Example>

During the fiercest Battle of Gettysburg of the Civil War, Lincoln sent a letter to General Maid ordering the attack.

“Dear General Maid, if this operation succeeds, it is all thanks to you.

But if it fails, say that the general was President Lincoln's order. And open this letter to everyone.”

An attitude of giving credit to subordinates and taking responsibility is the attitude of a leader required by modern people.

In general, dogs and cats are regarded as animals that cannot communicate with each other because their expressions of expression are so different. Dogs raise their tails and wag them as an expression of pleasure, but cats raising their tails and waving them are a threat and a sign of aggression.

Therefore, they cannot communicate with each other and have no choice but to fight.

The problem is that communication takes place only when I listen to the sound from the other person's point of view, not my own way, and there is an expression according to that method.

According to Romans 12:16,

“Be of the same mind with one another, do not set your heart on high things, but rather be lowly, and do not pretend to be wise in yourselves.”

Says.

When we encourage, build, and praise each other, we become saints who grow each other.

But saints like tares do the opposite.

They slander each other, ignore each other, and hurt and hurt each other.

This is a foolish attitude of faith that prevents each other from growing.

Like tares, we must not become foolish saints who block the growth of faith not only for me but also for other members of the church.

Third, tares are harmful if fed to animals.

Professor Richard Dawkins, a leading evolutionary biologist at the University of Oxford and author of the best-selling 'God Made', has donated a large sum of money to place an advertisement on 800 buses running across the UK.

'Perhaps there is no God. Don't worry and enjoy life'

The word 'probably' is evidence of uncertainty about atheism.

For humanists, the fact that there is no God is a condition of enjoying life.

To enjoy life because there is no God is proof that they recognize that their sins and their consequences are punishment.

Because there is no God, it is also an attempt to forcibly hide the human instinct for sin.

In 2005, a 21-year-old woman from Arkansas, USA went skydiving.

However, the parachute did not open, and the auxiliary parachute did not open, so it fell into the parking lot.

However, she only broke two pelvis, one leg, and six teeth, and she did not die.

Also, there was a fetus in her belly at the time of the fall, which was unharmed.

What's even more surprising is that the woman went skydiving again with the cast on after six weeks.

There are many good things in the place we live today, but there are also many bad things.

That is the tares.

Just as eating junk food harms our body, wrong thoughts and thoughts harm us.

This kind of weed-like faith blocks God's blessings for us.

This is 2 Peter 3:17.

“Therefore, beloved, since you have known this beforehand, beware that you will not be led away from your steadfastness by the deceitfulness of the lawless.”

Fourth, do not pluck the weeds carelessly and wait for the harvest time.

Employees who conduct financial transactions are said to stop trading when about 30% of their operating funds are lost.

Why?

Because the self-destructive instinct can act irrationally and lose the other 70%.

When the destructive instinct of last minute consciousness comes into play, you're in a state of panic about what's going to happen, meaning you shouldn't make any decisions when things go bad.

A person thrives when he meets love.

Love is not to learn, but to meet.

We need to understand why the Bible tells us not to pluck up the weeds.

This is because they are afraid that even the wheat will be injured while pulling the weeds.

Therefore, it is wise to trust that the farmer will pick up the weeds at the time of harvest and not pull weeds prematurely.

The Lord judges all of us.

Therefore, we must leave everything to the judgment of the Lord.

At the end of the speech>>

Organize your words.

The tares faith is of no benefit whatsoever.

There are two kinds of people in the church.

There are members who seek the growth of faith by relying on God with thanksgiving for everything, while others, on the other hand, ruin the faith of other members as well as myself through complaints and dissatisfaction.

Through the parable of the wheat and the weeds, we must become believers who possess the faith of the wheat but do not have the faith of the tares in our hearts.

God has granted us this holy Sunday. May this day be a day that pleases God with our thanks, and may we not become saints who obscure God's grace with complaints and complaints in the name of the Lord. Please.
