<Faith is not ignorance>
In today's society, there are too many things that are beyond common sense. Sometimes, even in the church, things beyond common sense happen. Belief is 'to transcend common sense', but not 'to act below common sense'. For example, it is ignorant to buy a green belt at a low price, build illegal structures there, and pray for a special 40-day change to the site where a church can be built.
The most beautiful feet in the world are those of those who preach the gospel (verse 1). But why are there so many people looking at those feet as ugly these days? It is because of those who misunderstand the principles of true faith, ignore the intellect, and promote discord. Faith is not 'ignoring common sense and intelligence'. Pursue what you seek with the reason God has given you based on faith and grace. True faith goes beyond the limits of knowledge, but does not ignore scientific knowledge.
Faith and science are complementary, not antagonistic or contradictory. Do scientists ignore the reality of faith? no. When you enter the threshold of science, you lose faith because of science, but when you go deep into science, you find faith because of science. In particular, there are no astronomers and no atheists. Belief in the Absolute is created by seeing the amazing, mysterious, and perfect order of the universe. Belief should not despise science.
Some spiritualists, who are sometimes well versed in spiritual secrets, despise science. They laugh at science because they are arrogant, saying, "When I lay my hands on my hands, fire goes out..." He knows his hand is a lighter. Some spiritualists say: “Doctors are devil messengers to make money. According to Isaiah 53:5, Jesus was already healed from his wounds, what kind of disease is it? To say you are sick is a lie the devil tells you through a doctor.” This is an absurd interpretation of the Bible.
Those with keen observation will know from my writings and sermons that I always refer to doctors as 'doctors' and not 'doctors' except in very exceptional cases. He deserves to be given such an honorary title because he is not simply studying a lot, but is trying to find physical health. Don't be fooled by the absurd rhetoric of false spiritualists. Ignoring science is not an attitude of deep spirituality, but an attitude of immaturity. Saints need a ‘close room’ for prayer and a ‘sarangbang’ for sharing love, but they also need a ‘writing room’ for the intellect.
<Be under the rule of God>
Looking at the text, the reality of the ‘good news’ spoken of by the prophet is that “God reigns” (verse 7). Faith is the life of believing in God's rule and leaving the land of despair, distrust and hatred to the land of hope, trust, and forgiveness (verse 11). Leaving to the land of hope is sometimes terrifying, but then God will act in front of you and escort you from behind (verse 12).
Peace of mind comes when God's reign begins in my heart. When desire rules my heart, peace is broken, but when God rules my heart, it creates peace. Desire creates contention, but God creates unity. After all, what is the biggest problem for saints today? If you believe in God, you are not accepting God's rule. That's why the outside and inside look different, and the front and back look different.
Michel Tournier's book 'Back View' says this. “His back knows no lies/ A generous, honest and brave man/ Seeing him come and turn to me/ How often did I realize that it was only an appearance/ His turning back tells me what kind of person he is.” The marks and traces you leave behind in your life are important. You can cover up wrinkles with makeup, but not the back. The traces we leave behind where we have been, tell us who we are.
Why are the front and back faces different? Because they do not accept God's rule. When you accept God's rule, new possibilities abound. A stone that was rolling along the roadside became a tool to defeat Goliath when it was lifted into David's hand. When Mary Magdalene, the woman who was pointed at, met Jesus, she became a saint. The important thing is, “In whose hand is it used?” is to do Do you want to be truly renewed and be a blessing with amazing potential? Then truly accept God's rule.
