Title: Faith that Opens Prison Doors Bible: Acts 5:17-32
The New Testament begins with the proclamation of John the Baptist exclaiming, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 3:1, Mark 1:4) When Jesus began his evangelism activities, Mark 1:14-15-「 The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe in the gospel.” The early church, too, on the day of Pentecost, the apostles who were filled with the Holy Spirit Acts 2:38-“Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” When the greed and greed that lied to God were removed, the church was greatly revived.
In Korea, too, the repentance of Elder Man-sik Cho at the Jangdaehyeon Church in Pyongyang in 1907 became a fuse of the fire of the Holy Spirit, and the Korean church was greatly revived.
Today's text reads Peter and John's proclamation that the early church will be greatly revived and that if you believe in Jesus you will be saved (Acts 4:12), many people came to believe in Jesus. (Acts 5:17-18) However, God opens the prison door and gives freedom to testify of the gospel.
1. Faith to open prison doors and preach the gospel.
If the number of people who believe in Jesus and receive salvation increases, the society and the country will become healthy, morals and ethics will be upright, and the nation will develop into an honest society free from crimes. But there are those who are jealous. Satan is the evil enemy, the devil, who opposes the will of God. Satan is John 8:44-“He was a murderer from the beginning, and cannot stand in the truth because the truth is not in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own, because he is a liar and the father of lies.” Satan uses people.
They used Judas Iscariot to sell Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. Luke 22:3-4-“Satan entered Judas, who was called Iscariot, one of the twelve, and Judas went to the chief priests and the chiefs of the temple guard and discussed a way to deliver Jesus.” Satan used Ananias and Sapphira They tried to confuse the early church. (Acts 5:3) At that time, Satan aroused envy in the hearts of the high priests and Sadducees, and imprisoned the apostles.
Last week, I heard a mission report from Deacon Choi Eun-seon, a Chinese missionary. Now, the Chinese government says it is targeting Koreans and harassing Koreans doing business ahead of the Asian Games deficit and a big event in August. Moreover, the Koreans were given visas for only one month, and if they saw them worshiping or possessing Bible hymns, they said that the police would arrest them. You can't do anything when you're in jail. can't be free. activity is prohibited. Everything stops. Satan hates when the church is good, revival, blessed, and filled with the Holy Spirit. Satan will take extraordinary measures to bring it down. So they use prison. Prison of Despair, Prison of Anxiety, Prison of Complaints, Prison of Depression, Prison of Poverty, Prison of Sickness. They use people to cause envy and jealousy.
Dear saints, Are you feeling uncomfortable right now? Do you have someone in your heart who hates you? That's a prison. It is an invisible prison. Depression Being in prison makes you unhappy. Why? Because they are under the control of Satan.
2. Jesus broke the prison door.
Those who are imprisoned in prison cannot come out. But if someone opens it from outside, it can come out. Acts 5:19-20 “An angel of the Lord opened the prison door at night and brought him out, saying, “Go, stand in the temple and tell the people all the words of this life.” Satan is trying to imprison us, but Jesus, the King of Kings, broke the prison door. Lee is the one. The prison of death, the prison of death, the Lord has broken.
♬Hymn 161:1: Hallelujah, our Jesus has risen from the resurrection When the world praises them, angels respond. The Savior Jesus rose from the dead and conquered the power of death. The Savior Jesus rose from the dead and conquered the power of death. Jesus has set us free from the prison of sin with the truth.
3. He preaches the word of life (Acts 5:20).
There's a reason you got me out of jail Go to the temple and tell the people the word of life. Let's not forget that we have entrusted us with the preaching of life-saving words and evangelism by using the things that have been given us health, blessings, and duties.
