Title: Faith When Sick - February 19th
Contents
We are very sorry to trouble you with your health problems over the past week. And thank you to everyone who comforted me and prayed for me.(…)
In today's text, Hezekiah fell ill. The prophet Isaiah of God asserts, “You will die and you will not live.”
King Hezekiah was a great king who reigned for 29 years as king of Judah. As he became king as a clean believer, he demolished the idols set up by previous kings. As a result, Hezekiah was evaluated as the next king after King David. But for him, the time of the end was near. 38:1, “Hezekiah fell sick and died.” (…) Hezekiah was stricken with a mortal disease. There is no way to fix it. There is no other way than to die.(…) What should I do when I get a dying disease?
① It must be interpreted well as faith.
When they get sick, they use humane methods. If there is a medicine that is good for the body, buy it and eat it no matter how expensive it is. Regardless of any means. Call the shaman and do good things. Even a fortune teller with tweezers visits it.(…) Some people give up early when they get sick. They don't even look for a shaman, and they don't even try to use good medicine. When such a person is diagnosed with cancer, he pretends to be dead. You should not tell such a person the name of the disease in advance. If you suffer from a mortal disease, you must interpret it religiously. True faith is at this point in power. Faith is what you need for this time.
This time, while I was in the hospital, I was restless and restless. The housekeeper said, “The ministry is God’s work, and without you, more believers will worship this week, and the prayers at night will be higher. This is because the ministry is the manifestation of God’s power.” Paul, too, was suffering from heartburn, so he prayed to God, and God said, “My power is revealed when you are weak.” It is to show that God has healed.(…)
“God heals you. It is faith to give God the opportunity to solve your disease.” (…) Those who believe in God will need good medicine and good doctors when they suffer from a fatal disease, but they must pray first. Through this disease, I can experience the greatness of God and realize the love of God that is with me.
② When you are seriously ill, you must kneel before God.
(…) Hezekiah prays with his face against the wall. Look at verse 2. “Remember that I have lived before me truthfully and wholeheartedly,” he wept. Prayer is at the limit of my ability, and when there is no solution, when I pray, God has compassion on me and stretches out His hand of grace.(…) When I have a deathly disease, don’t say, “Why me?” Instead, “God! Please help. There is only God.” You must pray. Look at Hezekiah. I turn to the wall and pray with tears in my eyes. "Lord! Look. Please listen. Please heal my disease, bless my country, and grant me grace.” Hezekiah lacked many things, but he became a man of honor before God by crying out before God.
③ You must have faith in love for a dying disease.
(…) When a family becomes ill, all members of the family must unite with one heart. The devil alienates us. When a country is sick, we must unite with love, hope, and faith. Israel is always and everywhere strong because of their unity. A united nation does great things. The church must also train to unite. When all the saints unite in the Lord before God, the church becomes a powerful church. A healthy church. When you are sick to death, your body and mind should be united, and your family and family should come together and all members of the church should go to the seat of glory. Amen.
