Title: Faithful Choice (Gen. 13:8-15)
Contents Many people know about Jesus Christ, but not everyone believes in Jesus Christ because faith is a result of God's grace given to the elect, not human will.
In this way, the desirable life of faith of the saints who have been chosen by God is a life that knows how to choose the right path among the good and evil paths in the world, the path of love and hate, and the path of faith and unbelief. The life of Abraham, the father of faith, is the one who best showed us what the desirable path to take and what God's blessings are that follow it.
1. To the Promised Land When Abram was called by God to leave his hometown and relatives and father's house and arrived in the promised land of Canaan, he met a famine and inevitably went down to Egypt.
Although Abram deceived his wife as his sister in Egypt and was dishonored, but by the grace of God that all things work for good (Genesis 13:2), Abram obtained material wealth, just as it is said that he was rich in cattle, silver and gold. They left Egypt and returned to the promised land of Canaan.
Of course, even the saints of faith chosen by God, because they are human beings, are weak and may make mistakes and faults like Abram's. .
Therefore, even if God's chosen people leave the Promised Land for any reason, they must not settle there and must return to the Promised Land like Abram.
Abram's return to the Promised Land is not only his body returning (Gen. 13:4). It is the place where he first built an altar, so his faith must be restored as it is said that he called on the name of the Lord there.
