Title: Faithful God (Deuteronomy 07:6-11)

Contents Today's text verse 9 says, [Know that the LORD your God is God and is the faithful God]. These words are addressed to the people of Israel, the holy people of God. But in verse 6 of the text, “You are a holy people of the LORD your God, and the LORD your God has chosen you from among all the peoples of the earth for his own inheritance. (see text).

Therefore, what God's people should always remember and live is that the God we serve is a faithful God. In the middle of verse 9, it says, “He is a God of mercy, keeping his covenant to a thousand generations to those who love him and keep his commandments.

Everyone has a relationship with each other. Some have good relationships and some have bad relationships. But good relationships are built on faith and love. When we trust and love each other until the end, a good relationship will be established. This is also true of our relationship with God. Those who believe in God and love God will have a good relationship with God.

But when we say we believe in God, we believe in God's faithfulness. Our God is an omniscient, omnipotent God, a God with absolute sovereignty, and a true God who, once promised, keeps it forever. According to the Bible, the Word of God, God always made a [covenant] when He spoke to us. He told us what God wants us to do, and what blessings we will receive when we obey God as He wants us to, and what curses we will receive when we do not obey God as He wants us to.

In Genesis 2:16-17, the first covenant is found [The Lord God commanded the man, saying, From any tree in the garden you may eat freely, but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat, for in the day you eat of it you will surely die.] Said. Therefore, Adam and Eve should have always remembered the words of God's covenant and lived. However, Eve neglected this covenant and eventually was deceived by the serpent and ate of the forbidden fruit. All misfortunes started from this point.

If we had believed that God is faithful and that He must keep His covenant, Eve would not have eaten of the forbidden fruit. But Eve wasn't sure. Eve forgot this covenant and made a big mistake. Faith is believing in God's covenant. We believe that God is faithful and that He will always fulfill His promises. Faith is believing the word of God and believing that the word of God will be fulfilled.

Therefore, we believers should always believe and remember the word of God's covenant as it is, and today, there are too many people who believe in Jesus who do not have the conviction that God's promise will always come true. It is unbelief. There are so many people who will become the second Eve and the third Eve. There are some things that are similar to the truth in human words, but there are more things that are not the truth. However, all the words of God are the words of truth. However, all the words of God are the words of truth. Anyone who wants to be truly saved must believe the word of truth (2 Thessalonians 2:13). He must believe the word of God.

However, while we are living in this world, there are many times when we do not believe in the truth of God's Word and doubt God's covenant for various reasons.

(1) This is when God's promises are not fulfilled.

We generally believe that what God says will happen immediately. I have a strong desire to do so again. However, there are times when God does it quickly, and there are many times when it is not. In Genesis 12:1-3, God said to Abraham, “Leave your land, your relatives, and your father’s house, and go to the land I will show you. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and in you all peoples on earth will be blessed.”

This is when Abraham was 75 years old and Sarah was 65 years old. If anyone has received such an answer, they will be filled with big dreams while thinking about the blessings they will receive in the future. But the surprising thing is that 10, 20, and 24 years passed, there was no message from Sarah's body. Far from giving birth to as many children as the stars in the sky, she was not even pregnant at all. Who would believe that an 89-year-old grandmother would give birth to a child? But Abraham and Sarah believed.

Romans 4:19-22 says, “When he was a hundred years old, knowing that his own body was dead and that of Sarah’s womb, he did not weaken his faith. He glorified and was convinced that he was also able to accomplish what he had promised, so it was counted as righteousness to him.]

Indeed, Abraham hoped and believed when he could not hope. Because Abraham and Sarah not only believed in God's omnipotence, but also believed in God's faithfulness. This is because we believed that God is not only an all-powerful God who gives life to the dead and calls things that do not exist as though they exist, but also a faithful God who always fulfills what he promised.

We are praying today with a problem that we hope to be accomplished soon. But there are more unanswered than answered. [Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. Everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and it will be opened to him who knocks. If you ask, will anyone give you a serpent? If you, even evil people, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him] (Matthew 7&7-11). The words, “You will receive whatever you ask in prayer, believing and asking” (Matthew 21:22) is becoming more and more difficult to accept.

But also in Mark 11:22-24, Jesus said, “Believe in God, truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, believing that what he is saying, it will be done for him. I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

What matters here is [faith]. The question is whether or not we have faith that we do not doubt in our hearts. What remains is only a matter of [faith].

Dear saints!

If you truly believe in God's omnipotence and faithfulness, please do not give up until the end and keep praying until it is fulfilled. If you do that, you will surely receive grace. If you receive grace, you will have faith as much as you have received grace, and if you have faith, you will receive answers from God. Please save. If not, please find it. If that doesn't work, please hit it. Then it will surely open. you will find You will receive a response.

Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. ] said.

However, the problem is that most people do not pray, and the problem is that even if they pray, they become discouraged because they should not try it once or twice. Then, the joy of believing in Jesus will disappear and you will not want to go to church. Are there any of you like this? Now, I hope you get up and cry out to God from tonight. You will surely answer. God is faithful.

Second, when do we begin to doubt God's covenant without believing that the Word of God is the true truth?

(2) It is a time of great tribulation and suffering.

It would be good if God would allow the people who serve God to have no tribulation or pain for the rest of their lives, but God sometimes allows tribulation and suffering for His people as well. In particular, I wish tribulation and pain would come and go for a while, but sometimes it is too long. In this case, it is really easy to shake. It can make you doubt whether God really exists, and make you doubt about God's covenant. In fact, such a time can be called a crisis of faith.

In general, when we do not live upright and live in sin, when we suffer tribulation and suffering, we realize that it is God's chastisement, and we come to God and cry out and repent. But what is really difficult to understand is that we live righteously.
