Title: Faithful service (Ezekiel 44:15)
Contents In this world, there are people who live to serve God, and there are people who live to serve the devil and themselves. We must live only to serve God, our Creator and Savior. It is said that when the house of Israel turned away from God by serving idols, the priests of the Levites approached God and ministered to Him.
In order to minister to God, we must draw near to God. Is it okay if there is someone in Jeju Island who wants to attend to their parents in Seoul?
A person who wants to attend to a patient in a hospital has to go to the hospital, but it cannot be said to be at home. In order for a believer to obey God, he must draw near to God.
Some people go hiking on a Sunday and say, "I'd rather go up a mountain to praise God than at church." This attitude is to obey one's own lusts, not to God. God clearly said in Ezekiel 44:16 that [they come into my sanctuary and come near my table and minister to me]. Those who want to serve God must first keep the Lord's Day holy and, above all else, praise God and pray with thanks before starting the day. Not only that, but we must thoroughly keep the commandments that God has given us, and we must first seek the kingdom and righteousness of God.
James 4:8 says, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." God is close to those who are close to you. Without seeking righteousness, holiness, love, and the expansion of the kingdom of heaven, no one can draw near to God, and therefore attend to Him.
Dear family. Who do you live to minister to? If we live to obey God, we must be led by the Holy Spirit. Some people say they serve God, but they are serving human lusts. This could be a great tragedy. We must satisfy and please God only through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. How can a believer who breaks the Sunday and leads an unholy life obey God? If we obey God, we must truly show God's righteousness and devote ourselves to the expansion of the kingdom of heaven.
If we serve God like this, God will take responsibility for our daily life and take care of it. Matthew 6:33 says, "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." In truth, our family should not imitate this generation but serve God and live according to the Word.
Prayer: Praise the Creator God. May the Holy Spirit always help us to fear God and live according to His Word. Forgive me for living according to the world and protect me so that I can become a family that serves you by changing day by day. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
