Title: How Saints Live in the World
Contents
God made man in His image and likeness.
Man, created by God, has been unable to betray God from the time of creation.
▣ In this way, out of the many creations God created only human beings in His own image?
After disturbing God's rest in heaven, making Satan a workman to destroy Satan, and after completing the task of destroying Satan, humans used by God treat them as His people and children, It is to give spiritual blessings and earthly blessings.
▶ Who is the God who called us through Jesus?
▶ He wants all your people to always be with you.
▣ Although God sent His Son and the Holy Spirit to the world to keep the promise to be together with humans forever, many people in the world have a hard time eating and living in a world like the wilderness, and some people keep away from God and study the world with the excuse that they are busy. However, even now, many people deny the absoluteness of God and do not give up their greed for material things and desires of the flesh, so that they can become children of God and people of the kingdom of heaven. I am giving up.
} But God, who is rich in mercy, knows all the limitations of human beings that He has created.
So, God set the Sabbath, or Sunday, for life, and said, “Come out of the world one day and meet God the Creator and gain strength both physically and spiritually. The liver is getting sick.
God has told people who are thirsty to seek you to satisfy their thirst and hunger in their souls, but people have the illusion that the years they use and their health will last a long time. He is preoccupied with the pursuit of greed.
▣ Since life is a finite being, no one can escape or find a way to escape the various hardships and adversities of the world unless they seek God the Creator.
▣ Most people overestimate themselves and use their time and lives unreasonably.
When God created life, man has limitations in everything he can do because he created life as a finite being with knowledge, power, and physical life.
▣ Therefore, what is the most important thing in a person's finite life?
It is to allow the soul, the essence of man, to receive the life that God gives.
Since it is ordained by God to die once for a person, there is no way to avoid death as long as everyone is born with a physical body.
Jesus also made it known to the world that a person must die once through his death on the cross.
▣ The death of a person does not end with death itself, but there is another beginning through death, which is the beginning of another soul in the spiritual world.
God gave His only begotten Son into the world to atone for the sins of mankind through His body to give His eternal life to mankind in the infinite spiritual world for human use.
▣ For our flesh, Jesus Himself met the rods minus one forty in Pilate's court.
▣ He Himself died on the cross for the soul that will begin in the eternal spiritual world.
▣ Through His suffering and death, Jesus gave health and life to sinners.
Therefore, we must not let the suffering and death of the Lord in vain, but live a perfect life as God's people and children in order to be absolutely united to the resurrection.
▣ When God's people live like a people, they can please God, but
If you are inclined to the lusts of the flesh and fail to live a life like God's people, you will not be able to unite in the resurrection of Jesus, and you will make Jesus' holy sacrifice in vain.
▣ In Romans 8:13 and below, "If the souls redeemed by the blood of Jesus cling to the lusts of the flesh and nourish themselves, they will end with the flesh. If they live a life that glorifies God through the inspiration of the Word and the Holy Spirit, they will be eternal. He promises eternal life through the Holy Spirit.”
▣ How will God's people live in the world?
Only when the quality, purpose, and method are different from those who do not know God will the life of the body be peaceful and the soul will also be able to inherit the kingdom of God.
After God has prepared a better present and future for His children,
The saints are teaching us how to live in the world.
1. While hoping for the future, we should not grumble or complain about the present life (verse 1).
As it was in the past, many people's hearts are still filled with the shadow of resentment and complaints.
Even though the people of Israel are being led by God in the wilderness, they complain about the present life and complain about God's guidance in the face of temporary hardships and difficulties.
▣ The most tragic people in the world are those who live their lives while looking at their past lives and complaining because they think they have no future at all.
▣ Christian faith=
It is to believe that all of our lives, past and present, have been guided by God's sovereignty, and that the future will proceed under God's guidance.
▣ Is there anyone among you who thinks that their past and present have been fulfilled according to my will? Like Paul's confession, even if you have "self-sufficient faith in the Lord," no one will ever think that all of their life has been fulfilled as they planned and intended.
▶ Because? Because the owner of life is not “me”, but the Creator God.
▶ The Bible says that our past and present were not “mine”, but the future is also not “mine”.
▣ It is said that the wisest person is one who entrusts his future to God. (Ecclesiastes 9:1) Our present now is the result of the past, to be honest.
And our future will also live with the fruits of our present.
The curse is nothing else, but to miss the blessed future that will come to you with resentment and complaint.
▣ Believing that grievances and complaints in the present are like doors that close from seeing the future,
Even if there are hardships and adversity in our present life, I hope that we live in the world with the faith of gratitude toward the future rather than grumbling and complaining.
2. We must not go back to the past. (Appeal to Verse 5)
▣ What do you think is the difference between the past and the future?
▶ Because I have lived in the past, I want to decide the present life in my own way.
▶ The future is a world I have never experienced, so it cannot be my way.
Now, God's people are freed from slavery and go to the Promised Land, forgetting their identity and expressing their desire to escape the current adversity and return to Egypt.
▣ It's unfortunate that God is leading them to bless their future, but they can't entrust their future to God and want to live in their own way.
As such, the human attribute of wanting to return to the past without forgetting the old customs is something that must be thrown away from the image of the saints living in this world.
(The life of the past is already prepared by God as a reward and punishment.)
The Israelites in the text say that life in Egypt was good if it was a little difficult and difficult, and instead of moving forward with their lives, they stopped in the past time and old customs.
Ephesians 4:22-24 “Put off the old man, which is corrupt according to the lusts of deceit, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new man, which after God was created in righteousness and holiness of truth.”
What is the secret of God's children's victorious lives in the world? Believe in obedience to God by clearing up the past and being faithful to the present life. Do not cling to the past and be faithful to the present.
3. We must live by valuing the grace we have now.(7-9)
▣ What is the secret to all the ancestors of faith in the Bible enjoying the blessings God has given them?
It is because they believed that all the grace they have now and that they enjoy, both physically and spiritually, is a gift from God.
▶ People like Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the ancestors of faith, thank God for the grace that God has called them, even in the midst of being chased and suffering, and whenever they settle in a new place,
“There they built an altar to God and offered sacrifices, praising the glory of God” (Genesis 13:4).
▣ What do I mean by telling you now that you will appreciate the grace that I have?
Before we calculate what God will give us, let us first calculate what we have received.
God not only called us, who lost hope while living as slaves to sin, but also promised heaven and an eternal future through his Son. Sometimes, like the Israelites in the past, we can complain or complain that we have not received anything from God. .
▶ We want to believe that everything we enjoy right now is God's unconditional grace.
According to the text, the people of Israel are now freed from slavery for 430 years by God's grace, and as they move toward the promised land, they worry about food and drink and their own strength and energy. I resent life.
If we too live with the wrong eye of faith and give priority to the fleshly life, we can be thankful for becoming God's people and complain about the present life rather than hope for the future.
▣ We live in the world with the status of the people of the world and the qualifications God has given us as the people of the kingdom of heaven.
▣ What are the statuses we should cherish? That is, they are God's people, and they are citizens of the kingdom of heaven.
How do we live life like God's people in the world?
Please believe that we hope for the future because we do not complain or complain about the present life, we throw away our old habits and give thanks for the grace God has given us.
