Title: How to become reverent (1)

Chan 507 One who imitates the heart of the Lord
The people of God, who have been redeemed with the precious blood of Jesus, must live a godly life. Godliness has several meanings. Last week, I preached David's piety, Psalm 4, and on Sunday afternoon, 2 Peter 2:1-5, and Friday, Ecclesiastes 12:1-14. Why should we live reverently? The price of Jesus' blood must not be in vain.
Heb 10:28 If anyone who abolished the law of Moses died without mercy on account of two or three witnesses,
Heb 10:29 How much more severe punishment will be deserved by those who trample the Son of God, and regard as unclean the blood of the covenant by which they are sanctified, and dishonor the Spirit of grace?
Heb 10:30 We know that revenge is mine, and I will repay, and again he said, The Lord will judge his people.
That is why God must judge the ungodly.
How, then, can we live godly? How to live reverently?
1. We become reverent by the word of God.
2 Timothy 3:14 But abide in what you have learned and have been convinced of, knowing from whom you
2 Timothy 3:15 And from your youth you have known the Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.
2 Timothy 3:17 This is so that the man of God may be perfected for every good work.
The Bible is the word that leads to salvation. The Bible should be learned from a young age. The Shema of Deuteronomy 6, even if you raised them like that, the Israelites turned away from God and sinned. Old Testament, especially Judges-Malachi.
Perfected as a man of God, perfected to do every good work. The Bible revives the soul (Psalm 19)
Psalm 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making the fool wise.
Psalm 19:8 The precepts of the LORD are upright and rejoice in the heart; the commandments of the LORD are pure and open the eyes.
Psalm 19:9 The way of the fear of the LORD is pure and lasts forever; the ordinances of the LORD are sure and all are just.
Psalm 19:10 They will be desired more than gold, much fine gold, and sweeter than honey and honeycomb.
Psalm 19:11 And your servant is guarded with his teeth, and the reward is great for keeping them.
□ Piety exists in other religions as well. Buddhism has the Buddhist scriptures, Islam has the Koran, and Confucius has the Analects and the Four Books. But their doctrine does not solve the problem of sin. There are ethics, morals, and doctrines in their own way, but the problem of sin is only true because only Jesus can solve it. Therefore, we become reverent by the word of God. Because the Word of God has wisdom that leads to salvation. I pray that you eat a lot of the words of the Old and New Testaments.
2. We become reverent through the upbringing of godly parents.
1 Samuel 1:6 And because the LORD prevented her from giving birth to her, Peninnah his adversary provoked her greatly and made her troubled.
1 Samuel 1:7 Every year Hannah went up to the house of the LORD, and her husband did the same thing, and Peninnah stirred up her, and she wept and did not eat.
1 Samuel 1:8 And Elkanah her husband said to her, "Hannah, why are you weeping and why do you not eat? Why is your heart grieved, am I not better than ten sons to you?
1 Samuel 1:9 After they had eaten and drank in Shiloh, Hannah got up, and Eli the priest sat on the chair by the doorpost of the house of the LORD.
1 Samuel 1:10 Hannah was troubled and prayed to the LORD and wept.
1 Samuel 1:11 And he made a vow, saying, O LORD of hosts, if you will look on your maidservant's affliction and remember me and not forget your maidservant and give him a son, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and no razor will come upon his head.
1 Samuel 1:24 After weaning, he took him up and went up to the house of the LORD with three bulls, an ephah of flour, and a sack of wine.
1 Samuel 1:25 They slaughtered bulls, took the child, and went to Eli.
1 Samuel 1:26 Hannah said, "As you live, my lord, I am the woman here who stood by you, my lord, praying to the LORD."
1 Samuel 1:27 I prayed for this child, and the LORD granted what I asked for and prayed for.
1 Samuel 1:28 Therefore I also give him to the LORD, and all his days I give him to the LORD." And the boy worshiped the LORD there.
2 Timothy 1:3 In my supplications day and night without ceasing I give thanks to God, who has served since my ancestors with a pure conscience for you
2 Timothy 1:4 I long to see you for your tears, so that my joy may be full.
2 Timothy 1:5 Because you are thinking of the faith that is not false in you, which first was in your maternal grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am sure that it is also in you.
2 Timothy 1:6 Therefore I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is within you by the laying on of my hands.
▷ Hannah, Timothy’s maternal grandmother and mother Eunice, Augustine’s mother Monica’s prayer, seeing and learning from godly parents, life, parental model faith, President Lee Myung-bak’s mother’s morning prayer, waking everyone up before going to business, Maengmo Samcheonji-gyo- Mencius Mother ( Imitation of market burial, imitation of funeral in cemetery, imitation of reading in Seodang: influence of environment
Parental influence is child's influence, good influence, godliness, invisible inheritance, mother cow resembles the mother of a zebra cow-)
3. By keeping the law (the Word)
1 Timothy 1:8 But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully.
1 Timothy 1:9 Knowing this, the law was not made for the upright, but the lawless and the disobedient, the ungodly and sinners, the ungodly and the profane, those who attack fathers and those who attack mothers. sleeping and murderer
1 Timothy 1:10 For fornicators, sexual immorality, swindlers, liars, swearing false, and others against sound doctrine.
1 Timothy 1:11 This teaching is according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God, which was entrusted to me.
▷ Lawless world is a world without laws, and the laws are order, obedience, and blessing. Athletes must obey the law to be crowned,
How to become godly: To keep the law, to go beyond the law, to live in obedience to the law of the Spirit of life, and to live sensitively to the voice of the Spirit is godliness.
4. We become sanctified through the Word and prayer.
1 Timothy 4:5 being sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
1 Timothy 4:6 If you enlighten your brothers with these things, then you will become a good servant in Christ Jesus, nourished in the word of faith and in the good doctrine you have followed.
1 Timothy 4:7 Let go of false and false myths and practice only godliness
1 Timothy 4:8 Physical exercise is of little benefit, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise in this life and in the life to come.
1 Timothy 4:9 Faithful, this saying is deserving of all men.
1 Timothy 4:10 To this end we labor and exert ourselves, because we put our hope in the living God, the Savior of all people, especially those who believe.
1 Timothy 4:11 You command these things and teach them.
▷ Deep spirituality is a life of prayer illuminated by the Word. Prayer is the ability to live a life of separation as the bride of Christ by washing yourself with the blood through prayer and purifying yourself with deep prayer. You must be diligent in your prayer life.
Piety is training. Athletes, figure skater Yuna Kim, athletes, soldiers, and saints also need to train through life like Jesus, living according to God's will.
▷ I pray that you will grow your own faith by practicing and training godliness and become a saint who will be rewarded and praised when you stand before God (*)
