Title: How to Get Out of Worry

Contents

Text: 2 Corinthians 7:5-8

(5) Even when we came to Macedonia, our flesh was not at ease, and we were afflicted on every side, outwardly strife and inwardly fearful (6) But God, who comforts the lowly, comforted us with the coming of Titus. (7) Not only did he come, but he comforted me with the comfort he received from you and made me even more glad by telling us your longings and mourning and zeal for me. I regret that I grieved you, but now I do not regret, for I know that the letter grieved you for a moment.

2 Corinthians (26) The way out of worry (2 Corinthians 7:5-8)

1. Leave your worries to God

After Paul arrived in Macedonia, he was in difficult circumstances and was not at peace (v. 5). In particular, Titus, who was sent to the church in Corinth to clear up the misunderstanding, did not come at the scheduled time, so I was worried and anxious for a while. But finally Dido is back. The arrival of Titus was a great strength and comfort to Paul and his companions (verse 6). In particular, I was greatly comforted when I heard that the Corinthians welcomed Titus and that they repented after hearing Paul's rebuke (verse 7).

Apostle Paul's letter of rebuke to the church in Corinth gave them a moment of distress, but as they repented and returned, their relationship grew closer to each other (v. 8). A moment's troubles turned out to be rather good. Not all worries are bad. As you go through life, you will face many worries. Still, don't let your worries cling to you, and leave all your worries to God.

1 Peter 5:7 says, “Cast all your anxieties on the Lord!” Psalm 55:22 says, “Cast your burden on the Lord! He will sustain you!” Just like that, God promised that if you entrust your burdens to me, He will solve them. Pray now at this time. "Lord! I put the heavy burden of my care on the Lord's hand. From now on, please do not worry about this problem any more.”

Sometimes I get anxious too. One day, when you suddenly get a phone call from the church members, you usually hear difficult things. Then it gets boring. There is only one thing to do then. Let go of that heavy burden and pray to God. Then there is always something to remember. That is God's grace. When I think of the grace that God has given me so far, I am confident that God will take charge of my life in the future, and I automatically feel grateful and feel at peace.

Especially during the morning prayer time, such peace is amplified. Dawn is a mysterious and creative time. It is also time for problem solving. Amazing wisdom arises at dawn. At that time, thanksgiving will be restored and the ultimate peace of God will come. If you start the first hour of the day with the Word and prayer and fill your heart with peace, your problems will soon be resolved. When there is a problem, if you completely entrust the problem to God, God will open the best way to solve the problem.

2. Take on God's Sorrow

God's sorrow refers to God's heart that feels sorry for the world. In order for the soul to be free from worldly cares, cast off your own sorrows before God and bear God's sorrows instead. In other words, “How can I live according to God’s will? How can I please God?” If you try to bear God's burden, your burden becomes much lighter.

In Matthew 11:29-30, there is a saying, “By taking upon you the yoke of the Lord your heart is at rest.” In fact, when you put on the yoke of the Lord, miraculously, all your worries and anxieties disappear and peace comes to your heart. Therefore, the more you worry, the more you think about “What shall I do for the will and glory of God?” Then, miraculously, the worries of the world disappear.

If we take on God's burdens, God will take on all our burdens and solve them (Matthew 6:33). In the same way, put your burden on God and at the same time take on God's burden. Only then will you become the hero of the miracle. Some people fast and pray earnestly to solve their problems, but they do not want to do anything God has entrusted to them. Then you cannot be the protagonist of a miracle.

Now, with mature faith, entrust the burdens of life to God and boldly bear God's burdens instead. When you carry a load, it is rather light. At this time, put all the burdens of anxiety and anxiety into the hands of the Lord's power, and especially in prayer, find out what you can do to accomplish God's will. And always pay close attention to it and live hard. Then you will taste the history of mysteriously solving all problems and worries.
