Bible: Hebrews 10:32-39 Title: How to Live?
1. Think!
God is a God who loves us and has the power to directly intervene and solve all our problems. Verse 32 says, “Remember how you endured the great battle of afflictions, after you received light the previous day.” In the text, the meaning of “after receiving light the day before” refers to the time when the truth is known. It tells you to think about how our Lord came to know and experience Jesus Christ through the word of truth in a time when you did not know Him. This is to think about the events of your encounter with the Lord. How has God saved you? Have you ever wondered what the outcome of God's investment in you to gain eternal life? Each of you is not the life God has given you. It is the result of God's forsaking his one and only son on this earth and shed blood on the cross.
What is the evidence that God loves you? It is the sacrifice that Jesus died for us on the cross. The sacrifice of the cross is a gift that cannot be exchanged for any precious treasure in the world. Are you really realizing this in your heart? Each of you is the most noble being before God. It is a precious being that God paid the price for life. We need to think about the grace of God who has cared for and guided us through hardships and problems until now. You must become a member of the church who expects, thinks, and longs for how God will work for you throughout 2007. Thinking of the grace and love you have given me so far, I pray in the name of the Lord that you may become all the saints who please the Lord.
