Title: How to Live in God's Presence Text: Psalm 5:3
We must not forget that God, who is always an amazing co-worker, is always with us. As Jacob left his hometown and headed for another country in a dreary place, he found courage to see God with him. And with this confession, I left my hometown. Genesis 28:16 "Jacob awoke and said, Surely the LORD is here, and I did not know it." The foundation of the saints' existence is God. You must know that you cannot leave God for even one moment. The most happiest way for believers is to live in God's presence and live with God.
1. When you wake up in the morning, you must think of God.
Psalm 5:3 Psalm 5 is a psalm of David. David knew the importance of morning. So he never spent the morning in vain. The word ‘praying’ in the text means ‘preparing sacrifices’. David got up in the morning, prepared a sacrifice before God, and had time to fellowship with God. We experienced God's presence through worship, and we experienced God's presence through prayer. I have to offer my precious time, heart, and devotion to God in the morning as a sacrifice. Also, the word ‘Barari’ means that he waited for God’s answer after praying. He worshiped God in the morning, prayed, and waited for God's answer. And by preparing for the day's work in the answer and living the day according to the answer, he created a life of blessing.
2. We must often think of God in silence.
Psalm 46:10 There is a saying, ‘Silence is gold.’ Sometimes we need to stop everything in our life, experience God's presence without a word, and listen to God's voice. Too many times in our lives we don't hear what we need to hear because we are so busy. To live a life of God's presence and walk with God, we often need to take time to be silent and listen to God's voice. The meaning of the word ‘stay still’ in the text means ‘to stop’. Another meaning of this word is ‘stop your efforts’. I hope you can quietly feel God's gaze as you look up to the sky without saying a word in a quiet time when no one is there. Is there something that doesn't work no matter how hard you try? That is the time to quietly look to God. No matter how hard I try, is there someone whose worries and worries do not leave my heart? It is a time to quietly feel the heart of God.
3. We should pray briefly and often and think of God.
Most of the believers think that prayers can be done well when prayers are long. I think that someone who can pray well needs to use nice words and pray more than others. However, true prayer is not a matter of time, but is faith contained in that prayer? The question is whether you have a heart to look to God. Matthew 6:7 Please pray like this. As I work, on the way, I say, ‘Lord! Am I in your will?’ ‘Lord, am I pleasing you now?’ ‘Lord! Am I doing what is right for your will now?' 'Lord, am I on the right path now?' 'Lord, am I thinking worthy of your will?' This is a very important principle.
4. Before going to bed, think of God.
