How to live by winning
Galatians 5:16-18
The question of a happy human life has long been studied and thought by many. One of them was that the solution of economic problems was the fundamental solution to all problems. He predicted that if economic problems were solved, peace would come and a better world would come. To this day, many people seem to agree with this idea. Don't you think that money is all you need now? We find the cause of all unhappiness in economics. Being poor is the problem. Today, we are the ones who think that if we have money, we can live comfortably and without regrets. But there was a problem here. The animal world is like that. In the animal world, there is really no problem as long as you are full. But people don't. It's more of a problem after you're full. Isn't it? Are the things you do well because you say you can't live because you don't have money, but because you have money and become rich? We fight without money, and we fight even when we have money. Without it, we fight because we don't exist, and now we fight even if we have it. This is different from animals.
So, everyone, the world we live in today is still a battlefield. The war after being full is going on. Opponents are also diverse. We win, but we live by losing a lot.
The French writer [Victor Hugo] said this. "Today's problem is to fight, tomorrow's problem is to win, every day's problem is to die." He also said that every human being lives in at least three kinds of battles.
First, the fight against nature. We live by fighting floods, earthquakes, and many diseases that come from cold and hot climates. If you win this battle, you will be healthy, and if you lose this battle, you will die.
The second is the battle between humans and humans. The way we live our lives is that we cannot treat our neighbors as helpers, welcome people, or loved ones, and we live in a tense relationship where we have to fight with our neighbors. When they are face to face, they smile uncontrollably, but when they turn around, everyone is an invisible competitor. In a relationship of buying and selling things, you have to think "How can I not be deceived by that person?" and in the same job, I have to calculate "How can I get ahead of that person?" How tiring is this fight?
Another unavoidable difficulty is the fact that we have to fight with ourselves inevitably. I think it's probably the fight that bothers us the most. That's why they say the worst enemy is yourself. So all too often we fight ourselves. You have to fight your own desires. Sometimes you have to fight your own weakness. Sometimes, he fights with his own laziness. In the meantime, keeping your truth is life.
There is a story in Aesop's fables, but one day a fly ate the honey from a honey jar and threw itself into the jar, greedy for more. But there he could eat a little more honey, but his wings were wet with honey and he could not fly, and in the end he had no choice but to die. At this time, some butterflies fluttered and laughed at him. "Hey, you bastard, sucking a little on the outskirts would be enough. You crawl into it and get that shape, you fool." I did. Then the sun went down. It is a story of how the owner turned on the lamp and some butterflies flocked to a brighter place, to a brighter place, and then burned to death in it.
Could it be that we are not able to overcome our own greed and lust, so we are being dragged here and there, and we are living in such a state that we are wretchedly sacrificed? Are my mind, my body, my will, my habits, and my inclinations really as good as they are? Are you okay? Please ask yourself once.
You can't live and succeed in everything. When you do something, you sometimes fail. But there are four reasons why humans fail.
The first is greed. Excessive greed leads to failure.
The second fails when the purpose is wrong. It wasn't a sure and steadfast purpose for which he would risk his life. Somehow, I couldn't stop, and I got along and failed. You cannot be successful with this kind of purpose. Third, failure to pay a reasonable price to achieve an objective is the cause of failure. In other words, if you want something big, you have to work hard. But the desire is big, but the effort is little. It is inevitable that you will fail.
There is a saying. This is what I call this when I am faced with a situation that I have longed for but in reality there is nothing I can do. If you think about it, no matter how many desires you have, there are certain things you can do. In the end, it means that there is no satisfaction of physical needs. It's always lacking. It makes me make mistakes moment by moment and sometimes drives me into failure. You steal what you need, and you commit a bigger crime for it. This is the result of the lusts of the flesh.
Dear saints!
There are still fights in the world. Today, we live in that battle. But we must not forget that we have the faith to overcome all these temptations and conflicts. The one who knows this fact well and manages this belief well is the one who overcomes.
Even in the world, self-management is important. How much more can we say about our faith before God? Do you want to win and live? Then, I hope you will live with the faith that you always want to be led by the Holy Spirit amidst the conflict. Then victory will be yours.
