how to love right
1 John 4:7 - 21
In 1997, a letter was unearthed from a tomb from the Joseon Dynasty in Andong, North Gyeongsang Province. This is a letter from the tomb of a man named Eung-tae Lee, a son of a powerful family who died at the age of 31 in 1586. After being buried in the ground for a whopping 411 years, he saw the light of the world. The letter, which begins with “Won to father, to his wife on the first day of June in the year of military service,” is written in clear writing and contains the heartfelt love and longing of the wife for her husband who passed away at a young age.
“You always said to me that we should live until our hair turns white and die together. But how can you leave me and go first? I used to tell you whenever we lay together. How I got your heart, and how did you get mine.” The expression of love in that era contains very deep content.
If you love deeply, you may want to live together and die together. It seems that such love is the same now and as it was in the past. How can you die one day at the same time? It's just that they love each other that much. It would be an expression of love that a country without you could not be thought of for even an hour, and that I could not be happy with anything like that.
But not long ago, 5,000 years ago, the remains of a lover who fell in love and died while hugging each other was discovered. Archaeologists excavating Neolithic ruins in Baldaro near Mantua, northern Italy, have found the remains of a man and a woman hugging. The two were facing each other face to face, arms and legs intertwined. I don't know why they had to die like this, but even at the end of their lives, they looked into each other's eyes and smiled.
Interestingly, Mantua, where the remains were found, is the setting for Shakespeare's tragedy, Romeo and Juliet. In Mantua, Verona's son Romeo escapes after killing Juliet's cousin Tybalt in a duel. Here, Romeo and Juliet eventually protest their love by death.
It is love that cannot stop even death. So love is the eternal theme of human life. No matter what, people live for love. They say that love is dry, but they say we are living in an age when love is dry, but still, people are living day by day looking for the person they love and someone who will love them.
Humans are beings who search for love without telling them that they need it. He is a being who knows how to love when the time comes, even if he does not tell him that he should love him. Even if you don't teach how to love, you learn it on your own.
In a word, man is a being of love. I live for love. I want to talk about love, I want to make love. Without love, it is lonely and difficult. Love gives you the strength to overcome anything.
The topic of today's text is love. The word love appears 30 times in the text alone. Do you know how many times the word love appears in 1 Corinthians 13, which is called the love chapter? As far as I know, it comes out 9 times. 1 John 4 is the chapter in the Bible where the word love is used the most.
is to love you. God is love, so love. Those who love are those who are born of God, so they must love. The one who loves is the one who knows God, so love. God gave us the love of giving up his only begotten Son, so we should love likewise. What we love deserves.
But, is there anyone who doesn't know that you have to love? As I said again and again, even those who do not know God live for love. I want to love, and I am looking for love. But why does God emphasize and re-emphasize to love us through the text?
It's not that God doesn't know that, so he's saying this. I love everyone outside of Christ. But it is saying that you love with the wrong love.
Loving with the wrong love may not be love. It is the same with us who are in the community of saints. Just because you're a Christian doesn't mean you have right love. There are a lot of people who love the same as people in the world, and there are a lot of people who love them with a heart worse than that.
That is why we need to know exactly what kind of love God tells us to love.
■ First, we must love with God's heart, not our own.
Read verses 7-8 of the text together. “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God; whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
They say that love belongs to God. In the English Bible, this part says, “Love comes from God.” Love comes from God. The source of love is God. The only source of love is God. It is said that love that comes from other sources is like love, but it is a victory wrapped up in love. It means that there is no one or anything that can give love except God.
Because only God is love.
“God is Love.” We’ve heard so much about it that we’ve become used to it. “God is love.” It’s also a phrase we’ve heard so much that we don’t want to repeat its meaning. It doesn't mean that he has enough, but it means that God, that is love.
What is the human material? Yes, God formed it from the ground and breathed life into it. The material of man is the earth and the breath of God.
Now, then, what are the ingredients of God? What did God become? I'm sorry to say this about God, but let's think about it this way to help us understand. What is God's material? It makes no sense to say that God is a material because no one created it, but I said this for our understanding. I hope there is no misunderstanding.
If man's material is earth and God's breath, God's material is love. It is God who is made of love. God is love, and love is God.
Man is not made out of love. It means that love is not the stuff of man. However, love is contained in the vessel called us.
So our love is always changing. It's different when it's good, it's different when it's bad. No matter how much you love, surely it will change depending on the time and situation.
But God's love does not change. If you change, you are not God. The essence of God is love, and when that love changes, the essence changes, and when God changes, He is not God. God is unchanging. Therefore, the love of God, which is the essence of God, never changes.
Because we are children of God, we must imitate this love. We must not love with our hearts. We must love with the heart of God. God's heart does not change. We too must love with unchanging love. Our minds are always changing. If we love with our hearts, we will eventually fail.
I've seen these saints. We met at church. I was right. The conversation worked. As we got to know each other, we started seeing each other more often outside of church. While having dinner, naturally I started drinking. When I opened my heart at a drinking party, I became an older sister. Even when I came to church, I came to call them older sisters. Unlike other members of the congregation, we have come to care for, consider, and take care of each other. Then, when one person lost his job, he had an older sister join his company.
Companies are where interests come into play. When we work together, our inner feelings are revealed. I am offended. emotions arise. In less than three months, we had a big fight. and eventually each other
