How to see God 2
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”
Matthew 5:8
In Jeonju, we shared how we see God and what good things about seeing God are for us. Remember?
We said that we can see God in the great nature and universe that God made, and also in the image of the person next to him. It is not a coincidence that all this nature and the universe are running smoothly without a single mistake, but it is a clear fact that there is someone who makes and governs all these things, and we know that that is God. So as we watch spring summer fall winter return exactly, we say, 'Ah! God is doing it', you can feel it like this, and while the sun is very hot, you can see the earth always revolving around it properly, and you can say, 'Ah! He said that he could see God, feeling like this.
There are more than 6 billion people on this planet even while looking at the person next to us, but even if we look at the skill of creating all those people in their own unique image, we are like, 'Ah! He said that he could see God, feeling like this.
So, why was it so important that we could see God everywhere and through all this?
It was said that those who can see God everywhere and through everything like this always gain strength because of God. No matter how far away you are from being alone in the jungle of Africa, if you meet the father who loves you the most there, that person will not be lonely even in the jungle and will be able to gain strength. Likewise, if we have eyes to feel and see God through everything, no matter how far away that person is, we can see God working through everything there and gain strength. (Call with Younghoon in Italy..)
But not everyone can see God like this.
According to today's Bible verse, it is said that a person with a pure heart can see God. What does it mean for an evangelist to have a pure heart? You gave me homework to think about for a week? Have you thought about it? The evangelist also thought deeply.
Did you know that when we say clean, we just mean clean? So, if I say again today's scriptures, it can be interpreted like this: one has a pure heart, but one sees God. So, what condition does the Bible say about being clean? and I looked for it. So that's the answer. If we do this too, we can see God.
In the 'pure heart' we read today, the original word for this 'pure' is the Greek word 'cadaros'. This cardaros has the common meaning of clean as we know it. But as for how to be clean, I'm talking about such a clean thing.
We also use the word cadaros to refer to 'an elite army of incompetent people who complain, cowardly, and are not willing to follow'.
In other words, when you say something clean, you are talking about the original clean thing that is not mixed or mixed with anything else from start to finish.
On a Sunday, Sungchan came to the elementary school early and found that there were no cushions. Chani Seong thought, 'We need to lay a cushion so that our friends can worship well during today's worship service.' When he lays the cushion, Chan's heart is kadarous. However, if another friend spreads the cushion thinking, 'If the teacher or the evangelist sees the cushion being spread, he might give you a talent', then that friend's heart is not Kadaros. It's because you have a bad mind in your thoughts.
In this way, if you do God's work with a cardinal heart and a pure heart, then that person can see God.
