Title: Human Desires and Lies

Contents

human desires and lies

Genesis 30 25-43

For a physical person to become a spiritual person, it is impossible under the law, which is the status of a servant. It is only through grace that Christ is possible. And you must quickly be disappointed about your own righteousness. The sooner you do this, the better you become a man of God.

And it is necessary to depend on the law of life. Because there is no way to overcome the law of sin and death except the law of the Spirit of life.

It is important to note that no matter how beautiful our good deeds are, we must completely crucify them. And our hearts should be filled with admiration for the love of the Lord who was crucified.

Today we are going to look at how to break free from the dominion of sin and establish our spiritual faith. A few years ago, a man like Im Kkeok-jeong, who had been a righteous and great leader, had been making headlines and testifying that he had repented. In just a few years, he was caught stealing at home and abroad, and then caught several times, and I realized something. That is, it is impossible for a human being to change from a physical person to a spiritual person. On the other hand, through the events of Saul becoming Paul and the wicked Kim Ik-doo becoming the saint Kim Ik-doo, we see that sinners can be changed enough if it is by God's grace. Even if it is an evil person who cannot be saved, it is by God's grace that he can become a changed saint, not just "just" like Jacob here became very rich. How specifically could that be? Today's text teaches us that

Dear saints,

The depths of man are full of ambition and lies. Sometimes you find yourself selfish, greedy, cunning, full of lies and hypocrisy.

Jacob in today's text is no exception. After working for 14 years to love Rachel, Jacob wants to go home. Look at verses 25-25.

In fact, it seemed that Jacob had been obedient for 14 years and served free of charge without any dissatisfaction.

But that was not the truth. We have to think about forgiveness here.

We say we have forgiven and keep it in our hearts. And remember it. Then they say this is the second time, this is the third time. That's not true forgiveness.

True forgiveness is forgetting the past. This is the part of our conflict.

Even in the church, there are people who say they have forgiven everything and repeat the story when they get angry.

Dear saints,

Behind what we think we live in obedience without rebellion is not obedience, but waiting and living with anger. This holds up and then explodes into anger.

Jacob is no exception. For 14 years, I have lived with resentment and anger. So are we.

We hope that we too be careful when we have anger tolerant. The person may be holding back the anger in his heart because it is an unavoidable situation.

Jacob asks him to take his wife and children back to his hometown. In fact, even if Jacob returns to his hometown, there is no guarantee that he will actually be happy because his brother is waiting with his anger suppressed.

However, Jacob tells Laban because he has a wrath of dissatisfaction and injustice against Uncle Laban for 14 years.

But Laban is doing his own calculations. After Jacob's 14 years of unpaid work so faithfully and faithfully, Laban's fortunes have grown so much that he doesn't want to let go.

And Laban would not have wanted to send his daughters and grandchildren away.

Since I have never seen a faithful worker like Jacob before, I have a problem with sending it to Inje, which is a pity.

In fact, Jacob is a recognized person. He is indispensable to Laban.

Some people have it or not, some people don't know it when they're there, but after they're gone, there are people who feel the importance of that person. there is this Dear brothers and sisters, are you recognized and indispensable in your workplace, church, and school? Wherever we are, we must be needed and recognized.
