Sermons for Preaching

Title: Human Existence (Romans 07:1-25)

Content Paul continues to teach in Romans 6 that there can be no sinning in order to increase grace. However, it can be seen that he does not support legalism, but opposes legalism thoroughly, emphasizing a good life under grace with a unique argument.

Now, declaring that he is a free man connected to Christ apart from his relationship with the law, he is developing a deep theory on how to live a life free from self-indulgence with freedom from sin, freedom from the law, and freedom from death.

1. The parable of the new relationship (1-3) The parable of the ex-husband. 1) Sin - He served sin and lived after giving birth to sin, so sin was the husband. Sin is dead because of Jesus Christ, so now you are a free man.

2) The Law - Israel has always been bound by the Law, and the Law is the husband.

3) A person who is obedient to sin itself - If a sinful person is in front of the law, that is what binds the faithful me.

2. Bearing new fruits (4-6) 1) While we were serving our husbands of sin, we obtained the seeds of lust from sin and finally gave birth to children called death. (5) 2) But now we have come to Jesus Christ. (4) 3) We must live only by serving the new thing in our spirit, that is, Christ, our new husband. (5) Now we live as married to Christ. There is only freedom that belongs to Christ.

2. Commandments and death (7-13) What is the law1) The law is not a sin.(7) 2) But for sinners, the law produces sin and the law adds to the sin.(8) 3 ) Sin makes sinners die. (9) (Example) When evangelizing people to believe in Jesus, they say, 'How do people like me believe?' It is like not being saved because you do not believe.

4) A problem arose as the law, which was supposed to lead to life, eventually resulted in death.(10) 5) Consider how Adam and Eve disobeyed God's command and sinned in the Garden of Eden (11-13)

3. Existential form of man (14-25) 1) Doing unwanted evil is the remaining influence of sin in my members. (17, 20) 2) The inner man who is spiritually renewed and reborn is able to obey the law of God. I try to follow it with joy, but the law of sin in my members has conflicts that try to bring me under the influence of sin.(22,23) 3) Only the law of our Lord and the Spirit of life in this pitiful appearance This will save us. (7:25-8:2)
