Title: Human Sins

Contents

human sinfulness

Romans 1:28-32

People try to forget or ignore their sins. So as time goes by, you can't remember yourself and others can't remember either. Does that take away sin? It's not like that. Sins that are not forgiven by God remain. Just as the facts that Japan did to Korea cannot disappear with the passage of time, the sins committed by humans against God do not disappear with time. God is the judge of history and the judge of each individual.

Even today, people around the world are unjustly killed, looting, murder and violence are rampant. They even take the lives of young children, and they take revenge, curse, and rage. It is a fact that all these sins, whether individuals or nations, never go away on their own. The Bible says that everything we do is judged according to what we have done.

Human sin begins with rejecting God. He has changed the glory of the incorruptible God into idols in the form of corruptible man, gold, and waste. As a result, God's wrath was revealed.

As a result of people's reluctance to put God in their hearts, God allowed them to do things that were not right. Food rots if left unattended, and uninhabited houses become ruins. If we do not have God in our hearts, the Lord of our lives, we will inevitably indulge ourselves.

That is an immoral life, indulgence. Verses 28-32 list all the unrighteous sins. Verses 28-32 record this:

“They are full of all kinds of injustice and wickedness, greed and malice, full of jealousy, murder, strife, deceit, and malice. they like to gossip

They slander one another, *hate God, be cocky, arrogant, bragging, invent evil, disobey their parents, and be foolish, disloyal, disrespectful, and merciless.”

What is the root cause of people committing all these sins? “He did not like to have God in his heart” (verse 28).

But what's more serious is that they not only do it themselves, but also support those who do it, knowing that the consequences of these sins are eternal death.

See verse 28. “They did not like to have God in their hearts, so God gave them over to a lost spirit.” There are 21 things that are not worthy.

The 21 sins can be divided into three categories.

There are sins that are the root of sin.

See verse 29. “He is full of all unrighteousness, ugliness, greed, and malice.”

Unrighteousness is the totality of all sins as opposed to the righteousness of God. Injustice is like the operating system of sin. Unrighteousness is contrary to God's attributes.

Ugly is the inclination of evil that leads to the pursuit of pleasure.

Greed is the desire that arises from the instinct to have more and possess more. Humans are a bundle of desires. We are not afraid to make any sacrifices or costs for our greed.

“Malicious” refers to evil intentions. This is intentional injustice that enjoys harming people.

There are sins that plague others.

A list of sins that actively harass others. It refers to envy, murder, strife, fraud, malice, disobedience to parents, heartlessness, and ruthlessness.

Envy is being jealous of what others have more. It is a heart that hates and condemns others. Envy breeds hate. In envy, various competitions and jealousy arise, and envy leads to hatred of the other person.

Time eventually leads to murder. Murder that destroys the life God has given is the greatest sin.

Conflict is discord and strife. Satan is the cause of strife.

Fraud is deceiving. To put the other person in trouble with words for personal gain.

Viciousness is a sin of an evil nature and is a habitual evil. It is an action done intentionally. Viciousness harms everyone.

Disobeying one's parents is also a sin of tormenting others. It is ungrateful to disobey your parents. Those who reject God disobey their parents and disobey them.

A ruthless person comes out. A heartless person is an emotionally castrated machine. There is no expression of emotion and no affection.

The merciless are those who have lost the mercy of God. It looks like a cold blooded animal. Those who are born of God are merciful.

Third, there are sins that destroy the community.

See 30,31.

“A slanderer, a hater of God, a reproacher, a proud person, a boaster, a schemer of evil, a disobedient parent, a foolish person, a treacherous person, a heartless person, a merciless person.”

Gossip is a backstory that damages the reputation of the other party. The Korean translation of the Bible is 'reproach each other'. This is to criticize and slander others in a way that people do not see. There are more bad things than good things, and there are often more negatives than positives.

To slander is to openly attack the wrongdoer in the eyes of people. This is another word for slander. To hate God is to slander God.

Abuse refers to a person who despises others with malice and violates human rights.

To be arrogant is to despise others and want to be exalted. at Proverbs 16:18

“Pride is the precursor to destruction, and a haughty heart is the precursor to falling.”

To brag is to show pride in language. If you are arrogant, you will be proud of yourself.

He is the one who promotes evil. A person who not only does evil on his own, but also plans evil with others. Those who are not satisfied with one evil and pursue another evil.

A fool is ignorant and foolish about things that are morally belonging to God. They reject and despise God because they are foolish. Psalm 14:1 says, “The fool says in his heart, There is no God.”

A weak person is a person who easily breaks promises and does not keep them. Breaking a sacred promise is a breach of trust. Everyone! Be people who value your promises.

In the above 21 sins, we see the corruption of human nature that betrayed God. The problem is that we commit these sins. Seriously, we don't sin because we don't know, we do it knowingly. These sins come from the devil and ultimately God is a sin that deserves death. Not only knowing and sinning, but going one step further and defending those who commit such sins as right. How evil is this?

When we commit these sins, it is like we hate to put God in our hearts. If we say we believe in God but live with these sins, the Holy Spirit within us groans and dies.

There is only one answer. Seeing our sins, we must be pierced in our hearts and humble ourselves before the cross of the Lord through repentance.

Come to the blood of Jesus Christ. Let's repent and confess for our habitual sins and the sins we committed without knowing it as a sin. We cannot break free from sin except through the power of Jesus Christ.

May the Holy Spirit purify our hearts. We pray that the Holy Spirit will cleanse our hearts.
